I'd prefer it if they sucked £6,650,000 out of the club to line their own pockets.

At some point they'll want their money back, or some of it at least.
Then the crap will hit the fan.

If it's a "charitable donation" (which it clearly is

When they went down, Saxo was reminding us that Noblot came up at the first time of asking. Yes they did, but look at 'em now. Hopefully in 12 months that's where the Turds will be. IF they get up!!

They are about as strong and stable as Theresa May ,if they somehow manage to climb back into the Championship, the Venky's have 2 options, either a large amount of investment in the playing staff, in an attempt to reach the promised land, or selling assets probably Brockhall neither are without risk

Nooooo lets not, the longer the Venkys are there the bigger the mess will be,This is probably just putting money in to protect their investment from the receivers.

I predict within 3 years, we'll be back in the premier league under venkys. They simply have to.

Is this on the grounds that if you pour enough money in, you're bound to succeed? Nice to know you've learned by experience.
Are you Blackburn fans laughing at us because you have rich owners pouring money in, and we don't?

Rovers should be grateful to Venkys but they simply aren’t bright enough.
If if weren’t for Venkys they’d be playing down Pleasington with Fat Birdy as manager

The ironic thing is, if Rovers somehow do make it to the PL in 3 years.... every single dollar of this new PL money would have already been spent. The Venkys would claim it to pay off the mountain of debt they are already owed, leaving nothing for the club, and Blackburn would drop back into the championship and their freefall would continue.
Not to state the obvious, but I don't Venkys have any plan for the club. They are too far in debt to try and write this off, and are completely in over their heads when it comes to managing the club.

I still don't understand what they're struggling with though.
Its not that hard to run a business and they've got more experience than most in making lots of money etc.
There must be another reason for what's happened down there.

Don't think they realised they were buying a pup, this is what happens when a club has been subsidised for too long and not run as a business, it can't stand on its own 2 feet even with premier league money when all of a sudden its no longer a plaything and now has to run as a business. Same thing would happen to a few teams currently in the prem if the owners stopped putting up money thankfully we are not one of them.

That's not strictly true though FulledgeClaret.
The riches obtained from the TV deal now are such that all PL clubs can run with a minimum £80 million wage bill and still make a small profit each season. All clubs now do that with the exception of Burnley and Huddersfield.
There's no requirement for owners to input any external funds.
As for Blackburn, if they do achieve promotion back to the PL in the next three years, any debt to Venky's can be cleared with their first year TV Income if the owners decide to choose that route.

Yes if only we could run as well as Burnley. Clearly all part of the clever plan to run to the point of administration until dyche was appointed. Along with a complete lack of injuries to a tiny squad with no depth during dyches first full season, that led to promotion, no good fortune at all eh?

Thing is, it would have been very easy for Burnley to spunk a load of money buying washed up mercenaries just like Rovers and Bolton did, to try and stay in the Premier League the first time round, but they were a lot more prudent than a lot of clubs with their money and it has proved to be a wiser move, so I don’t really get your point Saxo.

were deluded eh, it wasn't us who were pulling ourselves round the room at the prospect of having yet another rich benefactor spunking money on a pup. What was it never play you again(got that right),we will be playing in Europe, gonna be signing Ronaldinho Beckham, mixing it with the top 6 but yeah were deluded.

In fairness to both Blackburn and Bolton once we've done 15 years in the Prem we can probably begin to sneer at their failings, until then we should probably take it 1 season at a time.

Saxo spends most of his time sneering at us, because their various megarich owners have put something like £400m into the club while our much less rich owners haven't. He's sneering because we only had a small squad on relatively low wages when we got promoted out of the Championship; he's sneering because Blackburn had a bigger squad and paid higher wages when they got relegated into League 1. He's sneering because we would have had to sell players to cover our losses if we weren't in the Premier League while Blackburn can afford to lose millions even in the third division because their rich owners have bottomless pockets.

I don't sneer at Burnley at all. I just want you to acknowledge you've had a good deal of luck since appointing dyche. Now whether you feel you were due that slice of luck given your unfortunate fall from grace previously is a matter for yourselves. My wish for Rovers right now is I feel we are due a similar slice of luck which could carry us back into the division I feel we belong, ALONGSIDE Burnley.

Think you had your luck Saxo when jack walker ploughed millions in to your club (Blackburn not Liverpool) in the 90s.
