There is no way of a return journey to the north of England from the night game against Bournemouth so if travelling by public transport if you don't fancy the supporters club coaches you are really left with a couple of options:
Rail.
Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth with a railcard is tonight working out at £34 return and the journey takes just short of 5 hours depending which train you get. They are quite frequent and some are direct and some you have to change twice but they both take the same amount of time. The direct trains are more expensive.
Air.
Manchester to Southampton is £71 return leaving at 08:40 or 14:40 on Wednesday and returning at 08:35, 10:10 or 15:15 on Thursday. The flight is 1hr 5 mins. A 45 minute train journey from the airport to Bournemouth.
Obviously an overnight stay would be tagged on top but there are no shortage of hotels in November.

Spike Bournemouth is not all that bad .... well ok some of it is
would highly recommend the Christchurch area to any Clarets who were looking at stopping down . that said don't want too many of you here or I will never get a ticket
I do have a season ticket at the cherries too but I'm always hopeful of a seat in the away end for this particular game.
See you all at St Marys also !
