Re: Barkley and Sigurdsson in Jan window
They’d add something else to the squad and they be chomping at the bit to join a club pushing for the Champion’s League places

Someone at the match today told me of a new signing we are targeting - but, I can't remember who the player was.

Re: Barkley and Sigurdsson in Jan window
Why would we downgrade ?
Re: Barkley and Sigurdsson in Jan window
Plenty were saying Sigurdsson is a better player than Defour at the start of the season!
At the moment, Defour is a class above!

Man for man Everton are no match for us. Pickford v Pope or Heaton? No contest
Re: Barkley and Sigurdsson in Jan window
Agreed, Pickford every time.CottonopolisClaret wrote:Man for man Everton are no match for us. Pickford v Pope or Heaton? No contest
To be fair some people will still be saying Everton isn't a step up from us, in every way possible.
These people are best ignored.

Full backs- don’t think they’re a patch- Baines is past it and Coleman overrated -

Defour has been great for us but will mainly be judged on goals and assists by the outside world.Spijed wrote:Plenty were saying Sigurdsson is a better player than Defour at the start of the season!

I'm 90% certain it's the same player I was told.Paul Waine wrote:Someone at the match today told me of a new signing we are targeting - but, I can't remember who the player was.

Both would walk into our side under an attacking gaffer.

James Ward Prouse. Always liked him, too good to be playing a couple hundred minuted for Saints. Still only 23 with bags of potential.

Re: Barkley and Sigurdsson in Jan window
We could always take Keane as an understudy for Tarks.CottonopolisClaret wrote:Should we move for both in the window?
Therefore, when we eventually sell Tarks for £30 - 50m, he'll be ready to slot right in.

That'll be him for sure!FactualFrank wrote:I'm 90% certain it's the same player I was told.

Both would take 18 months to be Dyche fit in body & mind.CottonopolisClaret wrote:Should we move for both in the window?

Re: Barkley and Sigurdsson in Jan window
if Dyche was given the Man City job and squad he would pick an attacking team.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Both would walk into our side under an attacking gaffer.
At Burnley he picks a team and a set up to do the best with what he has.

In international terms, absolutely.mickleoverclaret wrote:Would you really rather have Pickford than Heaton? I wouldn't.
For club, not sure. Pickford has kept the score respectable for Everton a lot this season. Put him beinf our defence, he would be instantly required to do less.
If need to see Heaton on his return to make a full judgement though.
