I have closed my account with Ladbrokes after nearly 10 years custom, citing their anti Burnley Twitter guff as my reason. It can be done in 2 minutes through Live Chat if anybody else cares to join me.

to be honest, I can't see why our four of our defensive five plus Jack should not be the defensive basis of England. And I only exclude Taylor because that's too far even for us Clarets.
Add the Irish lads, the Canadian, the NZer, the Thunderclapper, and the boyo....

Can only echo other comments. Great for him and much deserved. What a great pairing he and Defour are.
As others have said, this sort of thing can only make the club more attractive to other talented players.

Just heard this fabulous news on the car radio - I felt really proud for the lad, especially
having met him at the walking football Mental Health Week event. A genuinely nice guy.
Well done Jack, I know you will do yourself and our fantastic club proud.

interesting to read Swansea fans' reaction - basically decrying the quality of the England squad rather than "one that got away"

Splendid.
It'll be interesting to see if he plays and whether them strange folk on here will still come on the England match thread, just to tell everyone how much they aren't bothered about England.

I am shocked at this news. Not because Cork hasn't been fantastic and doesn't deserve his call up but because reading this board convinced me that Southgate, the FA, the media, Sky and everyone else associated with English football all have it in for little old Burnley and was the only reason half englands starting eleven isn't going to be Burnley players
Hopefully this can quieten down some of the idiotic conspiracy theorists and well done Jack Cork couldn't be more deserved

Fantastic, well done Jack Cork.
Add him to: Heaton, Arfield, Wood, Ward, Hendrick, Brady, Defour, Vokes & JGB all Internationals. Plus (arguably) Tarkowski and Mee not far off.
Incredible.

Very well deserved. Has been one of the players of the season so far. The signing was a bit left field but it has turned out to be a bit of a master stroke.

’Whilst I'm hesitant to sugest another ex-player Jack Cork could be a replacement for Joey.

I bet that got the usual replies of
"Why this obsession with ex players"
"We've moved on"

It certainly won't harm our prospects of signings,in January or next summer if the carrot of international call-ups can be dangled.

I’m absolutely chuffed that Jack’s has received a call up, but do we genuinely think Southgate will give him game time?

A far better allround midfielder than Henderson Delph Wilshire,Winks and Sterling.Let's hope he gets a game. What's these idiots abroad don't realise Jack has played for three clubs in the top flight.
A mega bargain at £10m

Congratulations Jack Cork
A great hard working player who will give 100% for the England short unlike other prima donna's
I will now watch England play if he plays simple as that.
Met Jack once vs Swansea away (under Brian Laws) and he is a really nice guy not puffed up at all-no ego. Its great he has settled in living in the Burnley area with his family.
