I always remember him playing a massive part in keeping us up that time.
He’s a good player just up against a brilliant defence.

I've certainly seen him play a lot better than he did today. Thought he offered very little.

I know, I’m just reading up on him. Only half a dozen games in the autumn but I always remember him doing well for us.ClaretTony wrote:He was here in 2005/06 and it was Oct to Dec.

That's not saying much.
I could have picked a team out of the
Prinny Royal beer garden that'd have had
a go at em today.

Re: Nathan Dyer
Does anyone know why he was loaned out to Leicester a few seasons ago? Seems like he's not been a first choice player for a while
Re: Nathan Dyer
Not 30 until end of the month. Was just a kid when Cotts had him here on loan
Re: Nathan Dyer
Not their best player, but I don't know who was. I've no doubt he couldn't fit it our team. Not sure what you were watching

Re: Nathan Dyer
He did well for us when we had him, though my main memory of his time at Burnley is him scoring and celebrating by landing arse first on one of those sponge hoardings that used to sit behind the goal line.
They had far too many players that were great on the ball but when it came to the final ball, they were bobbins. Sanchez was the culprit in chief.

Re: Nathan Dyer
I remember his debut off the bench, his shirt touched his ankles.

Re: Nathan Dyer
I'd be interested to hear who in a Swansea shirt was better than him. There was little end product but I thought he was their main threat and his pace and quick change of direction gave us some problems. He was part of Leicester's title-winning side, hardly the flop that some are making out.

Re: Nathan Dyer
He always looked to be positive, was neat in possession and wasn’t afraid to take his man on. Swansea were dire, but that doesn’t mean they had 11 shocking players on the pitch.taio wrote:I'm struggling to see how you could've been impressed by Dyer today
Re: Nathan Dyer
I certainly wouldn't want us to sign him based on what he did today. He was pretty sh1t.

Re: Nathan Dyer
Who has said they’d want to sign him based on what he did today? He’s a decent player, his career at this level and his Premier League winners medal backs that up. You clearly don’t rate him, which is fine, but it’s hardly outlandish to suggest someone at Dyer’s level as a potential signing.taio wrote:I certainly wouldn't want us to sign him based on what he did today. Dyer and the rest of the Swansea midfield/attack were awful. It was like men v boys all afternoon.

Re: Nathan Dyer
I thought Swansea had a lot of good individuals but they certainly didn't gel as a team. Suprising given the status and coaching prowess of their manager. As for Dyer, I've always liked him and he could certainly give us a different dimension.

And a good thing too given the shots they had in the second half.Top Claret wrote:Dyer and the rest of the Swansea midfield/attack were awful. It was like men v boys all afternoon.

Re: Nathan Dyer
I would sign Sanches as a number 10 based on today if Bayern want to get rid
Defour probably knows him from Benfica too. Full pre season under Dyche and he might push Hendrick for a starting place.

He's started 5 games in the last 2 and a bit seasons, including zero starts for Leicester and less than 3 hours on the pitch for them. Suppose he could offer something a bit different but struggle to see how he'd fit Dyche's framework and offer any real improvement.
Re: Nathan Dyer
Didn't play particularly well yesterday - none of them did - but know where you're coming from. Got the impression he's got plenty about him even at such a young age - pace, strength, good touch.CharlieinNewMexico wrote:I would sign Sanches as a number 10 based on today if Bayern want to get ridDefour probably knows him from Benfica too. Re: Nathan Dyer
Yep. He looked desperately out of form, or like a really unfit 2 year old racehorse with great pedigree getting his first races in. But you could see the potential through all that.taio wrote:Didn't play particularly well yesterday - none of them did - but know where you're coming from. Re: Nathan Dyer
I agree he's a good player but he's 29, and Gudmundsson and Brady are not far behind and are much younger. I would however like Leyroy fee here and he's only 27. Would be great in the CAM position.
