Remind me why there's a limitation to the online sales? I'm trying to think of a reason but it escapes me.

They’ve now said “first come first served” but nothing about needing points :?

They split the allocation to “on-line” & “in person”
The online allocation is sold out

It's almost as if the club have been taken by surprise that two local away games over the festive period are in high demand.

I’m assuming so that those that don’t do/like doing it online have the opportunity to get them

Walt, if you leave your contact details here it is possible I may have one spare for Huddersfield but I wont know until a lot nearer the time.
If you are going down to Bournemouth tomorrow for a midweek game you deserve a ticket for Huddersfield. I will be at Bournemouth too.

Really appreciate the offer but just refreshed my page (not even sure why I did following the club announcement) and I was able to buy one.

Still concerned that had no confirmation email or money taken from my account for Huddersfield tickets. Got a horrible feeling my purchase hasn’t registered for whatever reason. Anyone else in the same boat?

So we have sold 5,000/5,500 tickets in a little over 2 hours of online sales? Nah something not right here me thinks.. unless we got a lot smaller allocations than what we all thought we were going to get in the first place? Utc

Not sold out completely.
Looks like they have sold out the initial quantity that they allocated to the first online availability.
Could well be they come back online mid morning tomorrow after they have assessed the in person demand at the ticket office.

We only get about 2500 tickets don’t we? We don’t get the whole stand anymore, not now Huddersfield are big time!

In person on first-come first-served basis tomorrow morning for those with 5k points only. Then depending on how tickets sell, online sales may open up later

It's 3000 for Utd and 2400 for Huddersfield.

As leisure states, if we have got 3,000 for utd & 2,400 for hudds. Then there is no way we would sell this many tickets in a little over 2 hours? I seem to recall we got 3,000 tickets for the Liverpool game & these made it to general sale. If the above allocations are correct then the only way we would sell out this fast is if all turf moor employees family n friends were snapping them up aswell. Even though none of them will have the 5,000 points required! utc..

Claretdj how clear does it have to be before you get it.
We have not sold out the entire allocations,it would appear to have sold the initial online allocation.
Guess the club has done that for those who have 5,000 points but no online facility to be able to collect them from the ticket office in the morning. Thats assuming they live near enoigh to be able to do that.
Your accusation about the ticket office giving yo family and friends is out of order.

I agree it's not right to throw that sort of accusation about.

You say "those who have... no online facility". Just out of interest, how many do you think that is in 2017?

Very annoyed at this. We live in Kent and already have obtained our tickets for Bournemouth, Leicester and Brighton away matches. We also have our tickets for Liverpool at home and are staying up north for a few days over new year. Yet we will be penalised for not living near enough to Turf Moor to attend "in person" today to get our Huddersfield tickets - so we'll miss out.

Fingers crossed that after dealing with people queuing at the Ticket Office this morning they'll have sufficient left to put them back online. Only about 40 in the queue at the minute.

9am update - Now around 100 queuing.

If they have sold out it’s been a soddin fiasco........no mention anywhere about limited tickets online etc. For those of us who do live away it’s a joke, already had to book travel/ hotels etc - could have sorted it had we known, but not happy at all.

Is it not enough that 50% went online and the other 50% in person?

You can't please everyone.

I live x amount of miles away
I don't have internet
I work shifts

If you want a ticket enough, and have the points you'll get a ticket.
The ticket office do a fantastic job where it's impossible to please everyone.

There's 2 or 3 ways to obtain tickets, so rather than blaming other people, ask yourself if you did enough.

Although if I'd not missed a game all season I'd be upset too, missing my only away game of the season and it happens to be the biggest...

interesting how the complaints have gone from 'points thresholds are too high' to 'points thresholds are too low' in the space of a season.

What about disabled fans. They can’t buy on line because the system doesn’t allow you to purchase career tickets and because of your disability you cannot get to the ticket office to purchase in person and your career is busy working to earn the money to spend on the football. You ring all morning but always engaged and when you get through you are told all sold out.

HOW IS THIS FAIR FOR THE DISABLED SUPPORTER.

It is, but you won't please everyone, it's impossible.

They sell online, over the phone and in person.

Sadly homeless Pete from Plymouth can't get one as the don't accept payment in pebbles and he's busy Mon-Fri to travel up in person by foot.

Join a FB ticket group, or a supporters club. If you don't want too, then you're stuck with the aforementioned options, or expect to wait in line, in the cold, like everyone else.

Maybe to make it easier for people who wanted tickets for both games. If they'd sold them on separate days then people would be complaining that they had to go twice to the Ticket Office! The Ticket Office are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Firstly not every able bodied fan can get down to the ticket office at 09:00 , due to school, work or distance, so they either ask a friend, join a supporters group or miss out.
You don't miss out because you're disabled, you miss out because of the same reasons any other fan does... It's not possible for you or another person to get a ticket for you.

There's several ways to obtain a ticket, if you're caught on your heels, you generally miss out.
Fail to plan and plan to fail.

30 of us are going, luckily 1 of our ticket group was off today due to going Bournemouth. He went, queued up, got cold, got tickets then started the 5 hour drive to Bournemouth. Imagine he'd have gone Bournemouth yesterday, he'd have been penalised on the biggest away game for going to the least appealing.

6 weeks ago we started planning for Boxing day, and it paid off.
