It appears that we've entered the world of footballing phrases, joining " box to box player ", " good blend of youth and experience ", and many, many others....
" Will they be up for it, on a cold Tuesday night at Burnley ? " .......

I’m just waiting for the old Arsenal chant “boring boring Burnley” as we win 1-0 AGAIN. If we became that cliche it would make me exceptionally proud.

We should start introducing the ‘1-0 to the Burnley’ chant.

I think you're mixing up oxymoron with pleonasm(or tautology/redundancy, as mentioned above).

He's a habit of finishing a bottle or two off when we keep winning!

Tim-noone
In our experience clarets4me doesn’t need the excuse of seeing Burnley win or even watching sport in general to finish a bottle or two off

I've noticed over the last few years, quite a lot of pundits have described "can they do a Burnley?"
Usually aimed at an unfashionable club with the potential to have a good season under the radar
Prime examples:
Huddersfield
Bristol City
sheffield Utd

I thought an oxymoron was a stupid acne-plagued teenager.
