Disappointed to throw away a two goal lead, but every point helps.

50 years ago, watched us lose a 2-0 lead and draw of OT.
Done it again.
I'm gutted.

A point is more than I expected, then with Atkinson so blatantly against us I am happy. Well done lads.

if we were 2-0 down at Half time and had come back to draw we would be buzzing - exactly the same amount of points earned. Absolutely delighted with that today, awesome performance

All those bookings didn't help. Half our team had to tread carefully

7 yellows will mean a fine - great performance - another away point - league goals at Old Trafford - we move on - let's win away next time out

But we weren’t 2-0 down so it feels like a loseVegas Claret wrote:if we were 2-0 down at Half time and had come back to draw we would be buzzing - exactly the same amount of points earned. Absolutely delighted with that today, awesome performance

Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
As a 44-year old, that was 5 minutes away from possibly the best result ever as a Burnley fan. Still, a 2-2 draw away to Manchester United under So much pressure is a MAGNIFICENT result. What a team. To single out players seems remiss but thought Mee & Bardsley were impecable - 10s for both of them.
Good night everyone!

Another point towards that magic 40.
It may be disappointing not to get all 3 but to think thats where our mentality is, the bigger picture is f**king Amazing

Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
remember - we only had 1 of our 1st choice back 5 and if you count Wood and Brady - that is 6 1st choice players out today and we play like that - awesome

Slightly disapointed with the freekick conceded by Sam for their second goal but it just goes to show how far we've come when a few of us feel disapoined to ONLY draw at Old Trafford. What a fantastic season we're having and another point on the board.

Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
It's hard not to be disappointed when you concede so late after defending a lead for so long, but in the context of the game (Man Utd away, loads of injuries, every player seemingly on a booking, Atkinson massively being up Uniteds bumhole - etc) I am very happy to get a point from what is always a daunting fixture.
It shows how far we have come that we are partly disappointed with only a point from Old Trafford these days, it also makes me laugh to seeing all the Chinese, Japanese, Americans and various other tourists that attended Old Trafford today celebrating like it was still the Sir Alex days by ragging a late draw at home to Burnley. How the mighty have fallen, and how the minnows have grown.

Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
Mourinho still hasn't got a point against us at OT and now, iirc, we are the only ones. Well. F*cking. Done.
Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
Brilliant from the Mighty Clarets.
Madge thinks Naughty Madge should get a run out, even though we were thwarted at the end. Great stuffBurnley.
Proud to be a Claret...again.

I’m not even sure it was a free kick. Would want to see it again (but knowing MOTD, they won’t show it, just them taking the kick)whiffa wrote:Slightly disapointed with the freekick conceded by Sam for their second goal but it just goes to show how far we've come when a few of us feel disapoined to ONLY draw at Old Trafford. Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
We were 33-1 for 2 goals in first half and I had the faith and am much better off for it
. In reality it was always going to be a tough second half. Some perspective on this says what a great away point.

Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
Rather that than the ref playing for the opposition which we've had quite a few times. He was a bit card happy though! Tad disappointed to not win having got so close but at least we can't blame it on crap officials. Terrific performance, great point, especially when you consider 6 of our 'first choicers' are out injured. UTCVegas Claret wrote:We should refuse to pay it, Atkinson was a ******* joke

Re: Mancy reds versus Mighty Clarets
A point away to the 2nd best team in the PL. They had two mega strikers starting, we were down to the bare bones with suspensions/yellow cards on players minds-and Tarks missing !. Think 3 points would have been one of the results of the year. A draw and two goals still hugely impressive. I was not comfortable about today but sounds like everyone was magnificent. Well done SD and the coaches too. Proud to be a claret and another point on the board

Worth it just to see that Defour free kick again. Gosh they were lucky for their second... (also given that it shouldn't have been a freekick)
