Emmott Arms at Laneshawbridge is excellent but perhaps not near enough to Howarth

Grouse is a great shout and ticks all the boxes requested.

Timmy Taylors pub and the landlord Mark keeps a good pint!

It's my local and gets really busy especially at this time of year, so I'd recommend ringing to book.

Grouse fulfils all your requirements. Trouble is, the road to Scar Top is closed and you will be diverted via Ponden.

It’s Haworth, not Howarth. Takes its name from the River Worth which runs through the town.

ended up going to the DOG AND GUN...near Oakworth .....was pretty busy when we got there....seating was mainly on upright chairs in restaurant area ....all the comfy settees were taken which was a bit disappointing...so we were seated to eat straight away rather having a relaxing drink before eating.....food was decent although at 57 quid for 2 mains...2 puddings.....3 1/2 pints and a coke it wasnt bargain basement.....probably a much better experience when its a bit quieter and less rushed....marks out of 10 based on everything....7....utc

Tried the Grouse Inn after a short walk near the salt and pepper pots at Cowling.

Nice area, one downside as a dog owner we could only go in the small room near the entrance- we’ll call it the Leeds Utd room...nice to see them getting beat on the small tv.

Food was good, large selection of specials. Had local shot pheasant and dauphinoise potatoes.

Will return and check out the main eating part next time we are without the dog. Also note the silent inn recommendation.
