Taking bets on when he sets foot on the pitch for us, either as a sub or as a starter ?

Re: Aaron Lennon
I sincerely hope that you are correct on that - I for one can't wait to see what he can do for us.
Very exciting times for us at the moment, long may it continue.

Have only seen Lennon play on the right. Can he play just as well left midfield or will JBG have to switch to his 'weaker' left side wing position?

Taking bets on when he sets foot on the field for us? Try pre season friendly in Austria around the end of July.

What wing does our new Totenham loan player prefer to play on?
Re: Aaron Lennon
Cracking signing, a real sign of progression that we're able to land a player of his calibre when he still has a lot to offer.ClaretTony wrote:Reports this morning suggest all is now sorted and he just has the final part of the medical to complete
Ooooops I said something positive, will quickly be forgotten though, after all I'm only ever negative.

I'd imagine on the right, but I'm sure he can do a good job for us on either side. It'll be interesting to see who eventually ends up on the left and right between Lennon, JBG and GKN.mkmel wrote:What wing does our new Totenham loan player prefer to play on?

Not so fast, Mr Scholes. Brad Jackson recalled from Southport..... clearly in a move to push Lennon to sign a deal or miss out on the Turf Moor glories. Doesn’t mess about our Sean.... he knows how to play poker

Re: Aaron Lennon
Would love to see Lennon and GKN on the wings and JGB in the hole behind a striker with Defour and Cork playing their current roles. I wouldn't imagine that will be what Dyche does but that would be a very exciting line up. I think JGB could be great playing in the Hendrick position.

Disappointing, the wrong age bracket again, we are collecting too many senior gents it's the way to a rapid fall from grace, happens over and over again.

So name a club that's thrived by signing younger players (but one that hasn't spent untold riches).ablueclaret wrote:Disappointing, the wrong age bracket again, we are collecting too many senior gents it's the way to a rapid fall from grace, happens over and over again.

Re: Aaron Lennon
I will wait to see, definitely not excited about this, I also feel he is to old and 5 years would have been excited but now, underwhelmed but most certainly hoping he proves me totally wrong on this call. The team do need something that little bit different but getting someone to score would be more exciting, but the thought of AL and GK on the outside might do the trick, certainly hope so.

Very happy with this. Look at our wingers 2 or 3 seasons ago compared to now and the improvement is vast to think that we now can choose from Arfield, JBG, Lennon & GKN

Re: Aaron Lennon
Terrific signing. A real coup for the club. Hopefully he'll do better than the other winger we signed from the England B vs Albania game at the Turf!!
Re: Aaron Lennon
I agree and know we could not have afforded him 5 years ago, it is just a point of I think he is past his sell by date but will wait to see as I have said. I obviously do not know how he will do, good or bad but what should also be obvious is that I hope he does very good and I am wrong in my thinking. Been wrong before but don't tell hubby I said that
He's a Claret now and I welcome him and will support him

As they say in footballing parlance I am over the moon that he has signed particularly as today is my birthday and 60 years to the week that I started supporting our great club.
Welcome Aaron I am sure you will not regret joining Burnley FC and hope you enjoy your time as a Claret.
