3.5m a year = Moving up North?

Post by ŽižkovClaret » Tue Jan 23, 2018 4:57 pm

If we are paying this money out, is it reasonable to now expect the boss to move his family base up north?

No, it’s Sean’s decision and nothing to do with us.

My source mentioned that the board still don't think it's ideal that he lives apart fropm his family, and hope that this deal sees them permanently up sticks for up here.

They were wary of a club coming in for him in the future which would suit him better geographically for his home in NN.

This deal secures him though.

Possibly not move up full time with all the family, but he could certainly start putting down some perminent roots. Who knows the new bumper pay day in sure would cover a driver also, which would make his life a lot easier.

His children are quite young, but who's not saying in a couple of years when school is done they don't all move up. The north is quite the hot bed of football.
Even half way would take some strain off.

Some people on here should apply for the driving job, then they can bore him during the journey with where he's going wrong in the job.

In this modern world we live in plenty of people spend 4 or 5 days away from home through work. Being with your Wife and Kids is only a button away and as they probably have their faces stuck into a phone/tablet anyway I'm sure it isn't too much of a drama.

There is plenty of executive accommodation around, I'm sure he wasn't slumming it in the Keirby until it was closed down, that's for sure.

Sean will do it if he feels he needs to, if his family life isn’t being negatively impacted in the current situation, why change it?

Whatever he decides on that front, it’s entirely separate to the football. His decision to commit for such a long term shows that his family situation is fine in his mind.

He can base himself wherever he chooses. As long as he's doing the job it wouldn't matter to us if he was swimming to work via the Leeds and Liverpool canal. Eating algae might be his thing :D
