Come on Sean, let's take a risk against Newcastle and have a lineup full of skilful and dangerous attacking players. Give Lennon a free role behind Barnes, give Nkoudou a full game and bring Wells on after 60 minutes. UTC

Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
Whilst we want to see more attacking, why change the tactics?
We need our rhythm back which seemed to go when Brady got injured.
SD's football is keep it tight, work within the framework and when it's working play through them.
When it works we look fantastic, when it doesn't, we are hard to beat.

I have a bet on that we'll concede fewer goals than Liverpool, so I'd rather we defend, defend, defend defend defend.

Because we haven't won a game in the last 8 games. Time to boost the goal scoring!

Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
If anything isn't working it's some people's exceptance that with a smallish squad like ours injuries which we have had have effected our results adversely which Is hardly surprising.cutsy123 wrote:Exactly. The current tactics arent working derr
The pleasing thing is that some of the performances are holding up, time to make comments/judgements when he have some of our injured back I think.
Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
I get that. But should one of Lennon or Nkoudou be able to bring their own style to Brady's position then hopefully we can start getting results like we were. If we start changing the whole thing we may struggle to resurrect what we had.cutsy123 wrote:Exactly. The current tactics arent working derr
Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
Is that true, or in fact the realty being it's working as well as before?cutsy123 wrote:Exactly. The current tactics arent working derr
We've won a few games this season - Palace, Stoke, Southampton etc. where on another day might have been draws, or even a loss.
Whereas the draw against Man U. at Old Trafford could easily have turned into a victory, or the defeat at home to Liverpool could have been a draw.
As we are still playing very well - Man U. at home (for example) I think that everything is OK except that recent results haven't gone our way.

Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
That’s absolutely spot on. Injuries have caused us big problems at a time when the fixture list has been horrendous. Five of those eight games have been against teams above us and we’ve had creditable draws in two of the other three, one of which would have been a win but for a shocking refereeing decision.South West Claret. wrote:If anything isn't working it's some people's exceptance that with a smallish squad like ours injuries which we have had have effected our results adversely which Is hardly surprising.

Only Palace has been disappointing in that run of games and even that was against a team currently on an outstanding run of form.

Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
Why sign two quality attacking wingers and then carry on with the same team which is finding it so difficult to score? Arfield and Hendrick are doing their best and 'playing ok' but we need more PACE, POWER and QUALITY up front.BOYSIE31 wrote:Will be same team as last game
I don't expect SD to make any major changes against Newcastle but I will be very disappointed if Lennon OR Nkoudou aren't in the starting lineup.

Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
He will use them as and when like any new additions.
Re: Attack, attack, attack attack attack
Wood would flourish in a team like that. He showed last season and the early parts of the this season how good he is in front of goal. I suspect he'd get a lot more service from all over the pitch and would be a real threat. We just need him fit!Vegas Claret wrote:That's what I'd like to see but with Wood instead of Barnes
