Sundays selections ... just stuck to Taunton today where the racing looks more competitive than at Musselburgh.
Lots of Cheltenham pointers over in Ireland ( tho some of the market moves yesterday were crazy ), with the likes of Samcro and Our Duke running , along with many other horses bound for the festival.

A day for watching me with a little bit of trading .. but for those looking for pointers at Taunton ....

TAUNTON

It paid to race prominently here at the last meeting as it often does, wide open race, was tempted to go with the likes of Somerset Jen and Quinto down at the bottom of the weights but they tent to win infrequently

CAMRON DE CHAILLAC .... Trading at 6.0 on Betfair.. won his last two from the front after being upped in trip , last win over 2m 5f, so upped in trip again. Extra distance and visor seems to have helped , running under his penalty but rider claiming 7lb, ground not a problem

GROUNDUNDERREPAIR .... Trading at 5.7 on Betfair.....consistant sort who has been amateur or conditional jockey ridden this season , now with a professional on board and in ground he will like .. Stable in form . Another who has steadily been upped in distance

Comrade Conrad could be well handicapped based on his last run but faces more experienced rivals here

UNISON..... Trading at 8.8 on Betfair.. last race was in graded company behind The New One, even if we don't take that form at face value , he has still been running in better races than this, had Call Me Lord behind him when he won at Huntingdon .. stables last two runner have won .

VOLPONE JELOIS .. Trading at 8.2 on Betfair .. two decent runs on the AW . Only one win to his name and that was over CD dropped a couple of pounds and stable has had 7 winners over last week or so .

CASTARNIE ... Trading at 23.0 on Betfair .. useful front runner on his day when getting into a jumping rhythm.. disappointing of late any maybe needs to drop a few pounds. Stable likes to have winners here , and has won before after being pulled up on previous run .

PRIVATE MALONE .. Trading at 5.2 on Betfair ... still a novice over fences having been 3/3 over hurdles .. visor fitted for the first time

SCALES ... Trading at 7.8 on Betfair .. One of the few in this race to have won before, will like the ground and has won over CD , was still in with a chance when fell last time ( does have a tendency to miss the odd hurdle out ) .. good rider on board .

MISTER DRIFTER .. Trading at 8.4 on Betfair ..dropped in class and trip and of all the novices in this race probably has the best profile .

Ice Tres looked interesting at 14.0 after running a promising race after two years off but my selections are
FLANAGANS FIELD ...Trading at 6.0 on Betfair .. will like the ground and has been running well of late . Has won when Racing prominently.

BENBECULA ... Trading at 6.2 on Betfair.. has won C3 races before and mixed hurdling with a few spins on the flat last year , coming back from a break , slight worry about the ground , might prefer better , but a well handicapped horse if showing his running .

Bit like the winner he had yesterday, in Tower Bridge at 25/1

Might even turn out to be as good as his father as a trainer.. 3rd in NH trainers championship behind Elliot and Mullins .. already won a Melbourne Cup and not afraid to send his horses anywhere or in races where they appear to have not chance
