Charlie Taylors start
Now I have been really impressed with him but when reading this tweet it really sums it up.
I think you'd describe this as a baptism of fire. Since making his @BurnleyOfficial debut in the Premier League, @charlietaylor09 has faced Xherdan Shaqiri, Anthony Knockaert, Christian Eriksen, Juan Mata twice, Sadio Mane, Raheem Sterling, Wilfried Zaha and Bernardo Silva. #Easy

Have been really impressed with him, thought he was particularly good against city and think we have found a fantastic replacement/understudy for ward.

I'm more inclined to believe the Leeds fans who said he was crap when he joined us.

I work with a Leeds fan who was more concerned about Taylor leaving than Wood. So you think he's crap do you Sidney? I would say you are in the minority.

I think it was very much a cheek with a tongue in it.

Re: Charlie Taylors start
He has improved a lot over the last few games and was very good against City at the weekend. He looks really confident and has slotted in perfectly along with the other players who have come in since all the injuries.

Re: Charlie Taylors start
We nabbed their two best players.
Wood has just been unfortunate with his injury.

I actually think he's done very well since he started.
He's earned the right to keep his spot when Ward is fit, although we did look more attacking with Ward I think Taylor is developing that side of his game when he can.
Bargain signing for us and I'm sure he's loving it.
I'm sure I read somewhere his Dad had turned up to watch a league game in the hope Charlie made an appearance and he actually started the game for us.

Ward certainly will have to fight for his place. Taylor has been excellent and appears to be growing in confidence and aptitude all the time.
A really great signing.

Ward will be 33 in August. How long can he hack it at this level I wonder?

He slotted in seamlessly because he was Dyche-fit. Nobody even noticed.Quickenthetempo wrote:I haven't noticed Charlie's dad playing for us Sid. Which game was it?

Re: Charlie Taylors start
Taylor has been really good for us - bit of a shaky start but soon grew into the team and last 2 or 3 games in particular been really impressive.
Ward is 33 but I would not write him off quite yet - for me has got better every year for us and looked fitter than ever at the start of the season. Who can forget the absolute cracker he scored on the opening day of the season ?
I think the international games have had a big impact on our team. The magnitude of the games meant that we had players who were playing injured - and even if they were not injured the mental and physical stress of the games (in between big Premier League games) took its toll on a few of our team. Don`t think it`s coincidence that players like Ward who were looking super fit picked up injuries.

Re: Charlie Taylors start
For me, the shirts Charlie's to lose.
As some one said above, a bargain whose value will be ascending rapidly.
Good work all round by the club, a very good acquisition.
I can see him having a brilliant career, just fervently hope it's with us.

Re: Charlie Taylors start
Taylor is improving and is promising. We are still stronger with Ward in as it stands.
Re: Charlie Taylors start
I think he's been our stand out performer over the last 5 games or so, while the replacement right back has been the weak link. Chalk and cheese signings and I hope to see more Taylor like signings and less Bardsley ones in the future.

Re: Charlie Taylors start
I'm sure all of us agree with that but there's a place for both. It was better to have Bardsley to replace Lowton then Darikwa. Perhaps next season we can bring in a Taylor made right back (oh dear!).KRBFC wrote:I think he's been our stand out performer over the last 5 games or so, while the replacement right back has been the weak link.
