Anyone worth looking at from the teams in free fall?
With West Brom looking down and Stoke teetering on the edge, any of their players worth recruiting when they do go down?

We've already had the old fart knockers from Stoke, no one else worth having

Chadli, Yacob, j-rod, krychowiak if PSG still don't want him. That'd be it for West Brom!

I thought that Hegazi looked like WBA’s best player when they came to the Turf.
How old is Joe Allen at Stoke? Maybe too late now but he’s always impressed also.

Mark Noble if West Ham get binned?
Would be real competition in the middle and seems to have a great attitude.
Might want to try to guide em back up, though.

They’ll all be on too much money probably.
I would’ve liked Matty Phillips.

Go all out for Shaquiri. Wages could be high though. If that fails, tadic has always struck me as a good player, although he has been quiet this season?
Hegazi is a great shout, done well in a poor West Brom team and has a good attitude. Would be good back up.
Oliver Burke would be an excellent signing when nkoudou goes back, quick and skilful winger

Shaquiri, for the 10 role.
Dawson, if Tarks gets sold.
JRod, if he gets back to his best.

Shaqiri's not a number 10.
Not sure where people have got this idea that he can play there from.

Shaqiri hasn't done anywhere near enough for Stoke to justify us changing our entire style of play to fit him in.

Maybe because he's played 700 minutes there this season, scoring 2 and assisting 4? Just a guess mind.UpTheBeehole wrote:Shaqiri's not a number 10.

He's played a handful of games in attacking midfield over the last few years, and 2 performances last season as a support striker, ie a number 10.Geoff wrote:Maybe because he's played 700 minutes there this season, scoring 2 and assisting 4? Just a guess mind.
He's played 65 games out wide in that time, as a winger.
He's a winger.
He's also on at least £65k a week.

I'd give Joe Hart the job as third keeper, if he'd take £200 per week.

Re: Anyone worth looking at from the teams in free fall?
Arnautovic is too flakey and sulky for a Dyche team.
Antonio at west ham would be a good option, Austin for ten games a season, Rodriguez, not sure about Ward-Prowse but probably worth a punt, Jack Stephens, Shaquiri, Joe Allen - plenty of options and we should be comfortably looking at paying £50-70k per week next season for players.

Re: Anyone worth looking at from the teams in free fall?
If we get into Europe there's no reason we couldn't try for someone like Shaquiri. Imagine him if he was Dyche fit and ready to fight for the team!
Ward-Prowse would be an excellent signing. Dawson from West Brom must be a possibility given our previous interest.
I'm 50/50 on Jay Rod. Heart says yes, head says no.

I wouldn’t take Jay Rodriguez.
He’s past his best, injury prone and doesn’t love Burnley as much as eveyone likes to think he does.

Re: Anyone worth looking at from the teams in free fall?
Shaquiri looks a decent player but having had a look on the WBA forum a few weeks ago it appears that the fans there aren't too much in love. They accuse him of being a bit on the sulky side with something of an attitude problem. They seem to think he has the ability but a tad lazy. Must be hard though playing among that bag of shyte week in week out.

Joe Allen and maybe Dawson.
Allen as he can play 10 and us class imo and we still need a 4th CB - Dawson also offers versatility across the back.

Re: Anyone worth looking at from the teams in free fall?
It's looking like West Brom, Stoke and Southampton who go down and there's a lot of talent there. Dawson, McClean, Phillips, Allen, Rondon, Martins Indi, Stephens, Romeu, Sobhi, Ward-Prowse, Hegazi, Shawcross, Chadli, Livermore. I wouldn't fancy Shaqiri though. High wages and very inconsistent. And too much upper body strength if you ask me.

I would take any of these players should their club go down, however I guess the majority will still be improabable.
West Brom: JayRod, Rondon, Evans, Dawson and Barry
Saints: JWP, Redmond, Bertrand, Austin and Davies
Stoke: Shaqiri, Allen, Butland, Zouma (loan from Chelsea) and Shawcross
Huddersfield: Mooy
Swansea: Mawson, Ki, Abraham (loan from Chelsea) and either Ayew
Palace: Dann, Cabaye, Townsend, Benteke, Zaha and Puncheon
West Ham: Evra, Noble, Kouyate, Antonio, Carroll, Chicharito and Creswell

Wall to wall coverage over here.
Centre half playing in midfield really. Good option to drop back to CH or cover in front of back 4.

Jay Rod is coming back to the Turf this summer. He’s willing to take a big pay cut to join. I personally think he’d be fantastic for us playing under a manager like Dyche.

I know exactly what position he's supposed to play. I questioned whether you'd seen play over the last two seasons because he has been absolutely garbage with an even worse attitude. As far away as you could possibly imagine the sort of player Dyche would consider signing.CharlieinNewMexico wrote:Plenty of times.
