Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
This is brilliant news for me. Couldn't go to the Stoke away game originally as i am in Belfast for the Carl Frampton fight however, now it has been changed I can and just got my ticket. I land back at Manchester Airport at 9am Sunday then straight to Stoke.

Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
I was intending to fly back home to Spain straight after the Leicester match at home. Looks like I'm going to have to extend my stay in Burnley for a few more days now to get the Chelsea match in. Ah well, decisions, decisions!

Tad annoying that the tickets should go on sale just three days before the date change. Club must have known - better to hold off the sale until finalisation.

I thought Rovers was at home on Thursday the 19th of April?? Can't see the Police chaps being too chuffed if that is correct.

I suppose Sky have more power than The Lancashire Police. Both on TV at the same time. Which one will the public watch I wonder???

No refunds or exchanges on train tickets, well not the ones I booked. They were only £4.25 return from Manchester anyway so no biggie. Sunday train tickets are still available for around a tenner I think.cricketfieldclarets wrote:If its any consolation you can get refunds and / or exchange your train tickets.

Completely useless admin from the club. Completely. With the usual "local club" attitude that prevails we get the worst of both worlds. Subject to the vagaries of being in this league but nobody does anything about it because it's all too cosy. Somebody should go for this messing customers about.

I managed to get a refund recently. May only be certain tickets?martintheaker wrote:No refunds or exchanges on train tickets, well not the ones I booked. They were only £4.25 return from Manchester anyway so no biggie. Sunday train tickets are still available for around a tenner I think.
Refunds
Under the National Rail Conditions of Travel, if your train is cancelled or delayed and you choose not to travel, you are entitled to a full refund.
If you decide not to travel for another reason, you can usually get a refund less the cost of an admin fee (maximum £10).
Some tickets, such as Advance fares, are not refundable.
To get your refund you should return your ticket to the retailer it was bought from (including online third-party retailers such as The Trainline or RedSpottedHanky), stating the date and time you intended to travel.

Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
I think you might need to enlighten us by blaming the club. We've had no option on the Chelsea game because Sky wanted it on TV. That's forced the Stoke game to be moved. Not sure who you think should go for this messing customers about, I assume you must mean someone at Sky or the Premier League.thatdberight wrote:Completely useless admin from the club. Completely. Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
The club knew Chelsea still needed to be arranged for round that time. That's the problem. They could have been releasing tickets today or tomorrow instead of on the 5 minute warning episode last week. That's how the issue could easily have been avoided.ClaretTony wrote:I think you might need to enlighten us by blaming the club. We've had no option on the Chelsea game because Sky wanted it on TV. Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
The club would not have known the Stoke game was moving - I think the expectation was that the Chelsea game would be on the Tuesday. Nothing the club can do when Sky/Premier League make those decisions. So no, not easily avoided.thatdberight wrote:The club knew Chelsea still needed to be arranged for round that time. Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
Got to feel sorry for all of those fans who have bought match tickets and made transport plans, this sort of thing should not happen but alas it is happening on a frequent basis these days, a bit of notice would have been better, there are a lot of fans p....d off but not a lot can be done about it, no one cares about the poor fans, as long as the money keeps rolling in for clubs and the TV companies.

Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
My train tickets for three of us arrived this morning for Stoke.. no Biggy was only around £6 each so just rebooked on the train at around £8 each
wasn't really worth it trying to change the tickets over as they put a £10 admin fee on to change over for Sunday

Yes, but it's a good walk!
There's a bus service direct from the station to the ground.

Does anyone know if you can get a refund on the match tickets as two of our group can no longer make it?

Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
The police tend to put Burnley fans straight in the student union then a bus service to the ground and back that you have to pay £5 for. That’s been the case every time I’ve been anyway. Saves having to walk all through the town centre and the student unions about a 5 minute walk.wilks_bfc wrote:How far is the station to the ground?

That student union sometimes misprices fine whiskies and mistakenly puts them in their £3 a double offer

Absolutely ***** wonderful. I'm away Thurs/Fri that week, I thought there was no possibility of a rearranged game. Seriously, Thursday night?? I suppose we will get used to it next season.

Someone posted not long ago that once tickets released for an away game the date won't change, so I booked the train tickets for 4 of us.
Obviously that was bullshit and have learned my lesson, why couldn't the club have waited just several more days before selling the tickets, amateurish

Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
It worked out well for me, I'm in Athens Mon to Wed that week. So Thursday is great! I also bought Stoke tickets but for some strange reason I didn't book the train. I had the tickets in my online basket and I didn't press the button to buy. I would have got non refundable ones as well.
Re: ARTICLE: New dates for Chelsea and Stoke games
In the end it has worked out for me as I am now having surgery on my tennis elbow on the Saturday which I found out today so wouldn't have been able to make the game on the Saturday. May be in a bit of pain on the Sunday but getting to watch the game now will make up for that!!!
