But in the longer term he will probably earn less now.

He might have got a chance at Stoke, Swansea or even back at Southampton. All of whom had better squads and much better chances of survival.

If a manager is sacked and receives a pay-off of wages but then gets a new managerial job, does he lose some of the original pay off as he is not now jobless?

If Dyche goes to West Ham then I hope we go in for Pardew. The guy is a really underrated manager and we're the exact kind of club that he will thrive with, and us with him. You only need to look at how he's managed smaller, embattled clubs and managed to keep them up so many times to know what kind of managerial pedigree the man has and we should do what we can to snap him up. If you've reached this part of my post without posting an enraged reply then good job because obviously I'm being less than sincere.
