Should face tattoos be illegal?

Post by ŽižkovClaret » Mon Apr 16, 2018 8:23 pm

I'll be honest, they offend my eyes. I'd happily make them illegal, along with any above collar level on the neck, and below cuff level on wrists.

This example is apparently someone famous. I'm thrilled i've no idea who he is, and i normally abhor ignorance

It looks like there is some crap missing from his ear as well.

Then he'll possibly wonder why some people won't employ him.

Bet he looks a bonny bugger when he's in his 60's and 70's.

Well you wouldn't have em front of house :D I do have tattoos on arms as a result of a misspent youth. They were crap!! But I've had them all covered up the tattoo artists today are very good compared with years ago. That said it's better not to have them maybe.

I don't think he needs anyone to employ him, he's made over 5 million quid in 2 years, he's doing just fine.

Don't mind tattoos. Think they can look smart, a work of art even. But not on the face. That's my grandad. The one with the broadsword inked on his cheek!

I was speaking of the generic "he" as opposed to that specific attention
seeking artists canvas, and well you know it.

He still looks a knob, and will look even worse as the years roll in.

If motorcyclists aren't allowed to wear their helmets in post offices then I dont think people should be allowed to cover up their faces with tattoos.....ban the face tattoo!!!

In the past, when I have smoked Spice, I've looked in the mirror and the whole of my face looks to be entirely covered in tattoos and quite vivid. It's very very strange. A line has appeared on the back of my head, as if I've had surgery done to me by aliens in my sleep.

One doesn't know what drives people to tattoo for real, the only qualms I have with it, is how cultural values and signs change over time. The best thing is to have temporary tattoos that one can change and put on or off according to mood and circumstance i.e. one wouldn't ordinarily attend a wedding in a beany hat.

I'm surprised at Zizkov for being a prude in this matter, though.

What needs to be illegal is lazer pens and drones. There's no need for the products to be on general sale to the public.

I have no tattoos, and can't see myself ever getting one. I reckon I'd just get bored of it after a few weeks and want rid. That said, anybody who wants to ink themselves I have no issue with, doesn't make any odds to me.

I don't recommend it.

I miss it, because of my perpetual mental health torment in tandem with a life gone wrong, sometimes one needs a break from that via some adult entertainment, but it can introduce virtual sensory experience to the mind and THAT is one of the worst of all doors of perception that might open. I won't write about it any further, the Chinese can probably lazer-tattoo the mind from space, nowadays and sh*t like that. I haven't touched it for about a year but one is still touched by the trauma of it, I think it's probably the same as the LSD casualties who suffer vivid flashbacks.

I became a drugs tester around 2013 when it came out and teenagers were on it and I thought I'd better find out. I found out Islamic sate were on it, because I then knew it was an honour drug. But it was like the film 'Dead Ringers' where once you peer into the abyss, the abyss returns the stare.

I think this has morphed into the mobile phone app. game 'Ingress' which is a war between the Blues and Greens, one side normal human and the other, those on the side of aliens.

No. I decided to do it, because my head and life was already a mess and I paid for it by not doing anything else, like not going for a drink etc. I ended up hooked, it is aggressively addictive.

Gov. did stare at me, as the abyss, in the form of Cameron and his extended kick into every disabled person's household via the ATOS healthcare Nazi testing of humans social blunderbuss. I never recovered.

Would I employ someone with them? Depends on the position obviously. I wouldn't not employ them for a job which was not in the immediate public eye. Not because of any other reason than public perception.
I personally don't get men or women for that matter who have tattoos. Mind you, I don't get men who have earrings or wear jewelry. What is that about? It's not normal!
I've employed people across two continents. Tattoo guy would be offered a job in Warehouse and that's where he'd stay. That said. I'd employ tattoo guy over someone who thought he was better than the aforementioned based on his looks.

I think its more distinctive NOT to have a tattoo these days.

By trying to be different everyone looks the same. Some are smart. And are a work of art. But wouldnt get one myself.

At least the tribal went out of fsshion...

How can it be made illegal ? People can do what they want with their own bodies. They shouldn't expect employment in customer facing roles or in the corporate world but most probably don't.

In Maori culture the face tattoo (ta moko) is probably one of the first ID cards, showing your status, lineage and family, job and even signature.

Though there's a big difference in being a culturally significant process which is revered to some of the examples on this thread, neither are for me!

Can't imagine ever going into a tattoo parlour to ask for a picture of a dagger on my face, no matter how many Babychams I'd had.

Years ago tattooists would not ink you where it could not be covered up (ie hands neck and face) hence knob heads and borstal boys had home made tattoos there.I personally don't like them and just can't see the point of having them.As for having them done on your face in years to come the more sensible people who have them done there because it's a trendy thing to do will most certainly regret having them

I think a 'Top Knot' is more offensive than facial tattoo's

For those not schooled in the art of warfare, that is a 'Broadsword' not a dagger, those of a certain generation will have fond memories of the aforementioned establishment :D

I seem to remember a US woman getting the name of a casino tattooed on her forehead for $10k.

Edit - Just to clarify, she received $10k, she didn't pay that for the tattoo

I think people are free to do what they want. However barb wire, a sword and 'stay away' ? Maybe soft as sh*t. Maybe it's just attention seeking. Also why not just wear a t shirt saying this then if you are in a good mood you can take it off and you don't have to look so angry.
