Between Accie and Burnley. Big tailbacks. Could be a problem.

Go up one junction further on the M6, take the A59, round Whalley, then through Padiham.

Just rung my mates re accident and they're stuck beforeJ8. Said some are driving down hard shoulder, but they're being chased by the police, which will be an expensive journey for the drivers.

Jeez, this started at 16:10? I got caught in it at 17:30 and was crawling from junction 7 to junction 9, arriving in Burnley at 18:40 (an hour late). The accident had obviously been cleared up by the time I got back because I didn't see any evidence of a collision. Also saw a couple of people get pulled for driving down the hard shoulder to avoid the tailback.
