I wouldn’t ban face tattoos. They serve as an early warning system that you’re about to meet a massive chod.

Like with the free speech issue where everyone has the right to say what they want but I have the right to tell them they're talking balls, I have no issue with people getting a face tattoo but I've got the right to assume they're a moron if they do.

Me and the missus love it when we go abroad on holiday and are sat by the pool. We are always the only ones without any tattoos and i'll be honest, it makes us feel unique & proud. There is nothing special in having a tattoo anymore. It's the ones without them now that stand out from the crowd!

I grew a Fu Manchu moustache. The hatred I received because of it, unbelievable, folk threatening me and looking at me with absolute disgust and hatred and folk telling me they didn't like it. I've grown it twice and shaved it off twice, just to stop the grief. One must conform to norms, it seems.

Re: Should face tattoos be illegal?
I don't like tattoos and would never have one, I simply can't understand why anyone would want to permanently deface themselves, however it is (or at least should be) a free world and we can't ban things simply on the basis we don't like them. I actually can't understand why anyone would want to ban something on the basis of them thinking it is 'offensive'. Given that offense is always 'taken', rarely given and always subjective it surely isn't up to others how we dress or decorate ourselves.

You should NEVER have to. No-one should ever have to justify or apologise for their appearance or lifestyle. If the small minded don't like it that is their problem not yours.Pstotto wrote:I grew a Fu Manchu moustache. Houseboy, I might be dead and righteous in my actions???? People think you really are a gangster and someone alpha male to take on as a challenge. I'll grow it back, I had some psychic **** to deal with decided to face the challenge without it.
No UTB, nothing of the kind and not related to any such imagery at all. Fu Manchu was the inspiration and Fu Manchu only. If you play in life a thing, life may play you as that thing, as I knew in advance and proved to be the case. It's too individual, women want something from the media to relate to, so I'm currently masquerading as a bald Damon Hill

Re: Should face tattoos be illegal?
I'm sorry to hear that mate. I took some stick when I was young for some of the ridiculous (apparently) clothing I wore and my lifestyle. Being an old hippy it did teach me one thing - I really don't give a toss what people think of me, I like to be liked, but I don't really care if someone doesn't like me. People's opinions are just that, and as such they are subjective and therefore not to be too worried about. I don't mind how people look or what they believe as long as they don't force it on me.Pstotto wrote:Houseboy, I might be dead and righteous in my actions???? Re: Should face tattoos be illegal?
A Fu Manchu (A real Fu Manchu and not that silly phto from troll on a pencil) says the same. That's one of the reasons I grew it, as it's an entirely original look. I will grow it back later, as it looks tremendous. the only problem is that it's hard to maintain and also to eat without wisps getting caught in the mouth.

Re: Should face tattoos be illegal?
The simple answer is no.
What someone else has on their face is of no concern of anyone else’s and it doesn’t affect anyone else.
Daft question really.

Re: Should face tattoos be illegal?
Within reason, no tattoos should be illegal.
I do think sometimes maybe the age limit should be raised, I've seen many younger people with bizarre tattoos that quite possbily could limit their chances of jobs in certain places.
Some will Yadda on about discrimination, but if a company wants to present a certain image it isn't their fault if you went and had holes put in your face or strange visible tattoos.

Neck, face and hand tattoos should definitely be made illegal.
