This reminds me of all the ‘local colour’ stories following our first Premier League promotion. That butcher with his sausages named after the Beast and the Owen Coyle shaped pie. Little did we realise that the crust would turn out to be less flakey than the man himself!

I’m sure we can think of something more obscure or interesting than Royal Dyche though.

I think his full title should be, The Royal Dyche of Proudsville.

Re: The Royal Dyche
Could they not have just called it "The Sean Dyche"? That sounds rather better to me.

I disagree. This keeps part of their original name whilst insinuating that Mr. Dyche is indeed royalty which, of course, he is.Dark Cloud wrote:Could they not have just called it "The Sean Dyche"? That sounds rather better to me.

Re: The Royal Dyche
Yesterday the pub got a big mention on Durham & Gough they were bowled over by it and Goughy has vowed to hold the show from the pub on the day of our first home Europa game, landlord permitting I reckon Darren Gough can blend in but I think Durham is in for an eye opener!
