How long was Heaton out for with his? Looks like our Ashley will miss the first few months of next season.

Why would he?claretlegend wrote:How long was Heaton out for with his? Looks like our Ashley will miss the first few months of next season.
Depends on the type of dislocation and what muscle & ligament damage has occurs, if any
Also remember Tom uses his upper body/shoulders a lot more than Ashley does, so had to be 100% sure it’s recovered

We are talking Barnes here - he spends more time on the ground than a 'keeper!wilks_bfc wrote:Why would he?

Re: Barnes Injury
Charlie Austin suffered same when with us...it also 'came-out' following initial come-back.
Doesn't sound good foe Ashley!
He's been terrific for us!

Wells and Vokes up front
Re: Barnes Injury
Dislocated shoulder can be days or months depending on the individual. Not point speculating

Re: Barnes Injury
One of the reasons it was such a bad injury for Heaton is because he's a keeper, using his hands and arms all the time. An outfield player might have been able to return a bit sooner.claretlegend wrote:How long was Heaton out for with his? Looks like our Ashley will miss the first few months of next season.
The worse injury Ashley Barnes could suffer would be a bruised coccyx because it might prevent him from backing into defenders. Hope he's OK.

Worst still would have been him landing heavily on his hair transplant.

Re: Barnes Injury
Send him round to my house.
My 12 year old dislocates his shoulders on a weekly basis and I have now learnt how to get them back in place with little pain to him and get him back into school.
That is if what has happened.
I have spent an awful lot a time at Royal Liverpool Hospital with a physio who treats dislocations for Liverpool, Everton, Man Utd and Man City players and she is brilliant. We should tap her up if that is what has happened to him.

Re: Barnes Injury
Been a revelation this season, far more effective than I expected.... and I unlike some have always been a fan of his rough house style upsetting defenders. He'd have got me dismissed as a centre half by half time
Hope there is no ligament damage. Get back soon Ash

Re: Barnes Injury
But I understand it has been diagnosed as a minor injury to his collarbone ligaments, rather than a dislocated shoulder, which would have put him at risk of missing the start of the new season

Sorry.
My tone was not meant to be sarcastic.
Slight ribbing maybe, but only in a friendly way.
I did not mean any offense/offence.
