It's bizarre. Our song was sh1te so no surprises. But Lithuania should be top 5 easily.IndigoLake wrote:How on earth is Sweden getting so many points? Was remarkably dull, recycled pop.

There was massive political voting in much of the jury voting. I thought jury voting was supposed to make it fairer?

Estonia and Lithuania my 2 faves did far better from the viewer's votes. The panels dont't have a clue.

I'm glad it was Israel rather than Sweden or Austria. I'd rather a song wins for being weird rather than the country being politically correct.

Re: Eurovision 2018
it was sh***, virtually all of it, israel was a novelty song, sweden, thank god that dross didnt win, a fat michael jackson only white, and 20 years out of date.
hungry was aimed at shocking the viewers with an aldi version done to death heavy rock, it was putrid.
cyprus was a dancing idiot, shakira wannabe, and yet again years out of date.

The SWP though. Guys. Why aren't we talking about the Socialist Workers' Party and their Sharia Rap courts? Clearly you all are supporters if you're choosing to talk about Eurovision instead.

Hope the security arrangements are better in Israel next year.
Saara Aalto polled so low always thought she had a decent following in Europe.

Re: Eurovision 2018
Next year should be fun .... being held in Israel !
Two bob politicians calling for boycotts, artists refusing to take part, security issues, Orthodox Jews complaining about the amount of female flesh on view..... it wouldn't surprise me if the Israeli's declined to host the event, there have been several precedents for this...

Re: Eurovision 2018
I caught a bit of it near the end on YouTube but then the stream ended, so now I'm watching the rest of the "eurovision song contest" on RedTube. I can post a link, if you'd like?Joe14 wrote:Quite a few of you are quite clearly watching

Re: Eurovision 2018
It was the usual drivel, full of terrible acts and atrocious dialogue.......but as usual I watched it from start to finish with my twitter feed open all the way through it.
I don't think anyone on there, or anyone at all (apart from the Cypriot girl) was taking it remotely seriously. Its just a good laugh. Probably why we are so **** at it these days to be honest.

Is Israel in Europe now? I missed that bit of expansion. Are they replacing us? will Iran be allowed a contestant to even things up in the Middle East?

It's to do with Israel Broadcasting Authority being part of The European Broadcasting Union which it joined in 1973
Australia on the other hand.....
