Your team for our last game of the season.
I'm going with;
Pope,
Bardsley, Long, Mee or Tarkowski, Taylor,
Lennon, Westwood, Cork, GKN,
Vokes, Wells.
With 10 minutes remaining in the game, Pope, Cork and GKN replaced by Heaton, Marney and Arfield.

Something like:
----------------Pope
Lowton Long Tarks Taylor
-------Hendrick Cork
Lennon Arfield JBG
-----------Vokes
Bit of a nod to next season with Taylor, and you could also make a case for starting Nkoudou if he's seen as a potential permanent signing, and also a bit of sentimentality with Arfield getting a game - I've assumed we will want to get both him an Marney on the pitch at some point which probably means Scotty starting or else we'll effectively be two subs allocated before we start. If however Marney or Scott doesn't want to play, then I imagine Westwood would come in an Hendrick push on.
You could also tweak it to have a look at JBG in behind Vokes if that's seen as an option next season, with Scotty moving wide left.

Re: Your team for our last game of the season.
Pope
Lowton Tarky Long Taylor
JBG Cork Hendrick Lennon
Wells/Walters
Vokes
I'd put Taylor in as he can certainly whip in a good ball, and with both fullbacks and wingers capable of beating a man and putting in a decent cross, it will certainly play to Vokes' strength. ( also Ward has been a bit off of late )
I'd put Tarky on his usual side, I wouldn't weaken 2 positions to suit 1 player, I'd get Tarky back where he is used to, and hopefully his performance will come back.
Hendrick in the middle for his physicality, ability to slot in and cover if 1 of the wide men join in up top, and to break through the middle should it be on.
As for Wells/Walters, if they aren't able to get a start now, with both our first choices out, then in my opinion they never will, also Walters will thrive on the service of the wide men like Vokes, and certainly give Bournemouth something to think about.
If wells starts, it gives us the little and large combo, and the ability to turn them around and get in behind.

Re: Your team for our last game of the season.
A bold line-up so we can say "goodbye!"
Pope (off somewhere I fear)
Bardsley (to be replaced) Long (should be off somewhere for 1st team football) Tarks (hopefully not) Taylor (the future)
Arfield (is he still here??) Marney (SUCH a shame regards injury) Cork (he`ll be here next season) Nkoudou (we`ll never know!)
Wells (ditto Nkoudou) Vokes (ditto Long - what a superb player for us!)

If Wells doesn't start this game what was the point of spending 5 million on him

The fact that Nkoudou got 35 mins at Arsenal and wells got 5 mins tells me his Burnley career is already overAGENT_CLARET wrote:.............Pope

If Walters is likely to have a role next year then I’d like him to be involved and GkN IF we were looking at a permenant. Other sub (s) for me would be a couple of the young lads that have done well this season (younger McNeil etc).
Scotty and Deano deserve an amazing send off throughout the afternoon before during and after (they don’t need to play for that though). But then all the squad and staff deserve one huge big thanks for this season too.!

Re: Your team for our last game of the season.
We could give guard of honour substitutions a la Terry to Marney on 8 minutes, Vokes on 9 (COULD BE TIGHT!!!!) and finally Pope on 29 minutes.
Is Arfield still here?

Re: Your team for our last game of the season.
I'm actually hoping it's:
--------------Heaton
Lowton---Tarky/Long--Mee/tarky------Taylor
JBG-------Hendrick/Westy---Marney---------Arfield
----------Vokes-----Wells
Nothing to play for, let Heaton, Wells & Vokesy get a rare 90 minutes.
Give Taylor another game, give Marney & Arfield a proper send off.
Give Cork (unless he wants the record of playing every minute of every game) a chill on the last game.

I'd agree with that unless Wood is fit (no suggestion he's not) who would then play for VokesBleedingClaret wrote:He’ll surely play

Re: Your team for our last game of the season.
Think there will be a few disappointed Clarets today, when they don’t see an appearance in the game by either Marney or Arfield. Will get the chance to say goodbye during post match lap of honour. Neither will start or be on the bench though.

Looks like a suited and booted half time appearance is all we'll get for Scotty & Dean

At the press conference on the Friday, Sean Dyche said that Mee & Barnes were ruled out but didn't mention Wood so I assumed, correctly for once, that he was fit.BleedingClaret wrote:You were right Tony
