Watching England is like watching Burnley

Neither will get a penalty decision given for them

If I was GS I'd be pondering which of Lingard or Sterling to hook first

A good performance from Tripps but some awful ones too. Maguire, Sterling Lingard and if Alli is injured get him off.

Not quite the same incisiveness this 2nd half so far which is a bit disappointing. Maybe a change or two would freshen things up.

I've seen every single one and I thought what we offered in the first half was comparable to many of the top teams (at least based on the first games of each team so far). It's a shame the 2nd half has seen chances at a premium because the first half was absolutely packed with them.

Why is Trippier shooting from set pieces? The only part of his game I didn't like for us, he used to hit them with dip but they never went in apart from the 1 occasion (although I can't remember who against?)

You have to take your chances when they come and we didn't in the first half; and we now pay for it. Tunisia were down but not out before the penalty. Look at them second half

The problem England have is all these young lads are bit part players for their clubs and expected to star for England. It’s not happening.

Note I mentioned the 1st half - not the 2nd. I was very, very happy with our performance in the 1st half but the 2nd has seen us create less chances unfortunately.

And in answer to your question, I'm watching every single World Cup game - so I should know! :) We've seen some of the real favourites stutter in the opening games - losing, drawing and missing plenty of chances in the process. Not much different here. Our attacking play in the first half (minus the finishing) was very good.
