Mind you, would appear the ref was a homer.

Kitch. The airport is 7 miles from the centre. There is an airport bus that runs regularly into town. Try not to use a taxi, it will cost you an arm and a leg

The bus is the 727 airport express. Costs about £3.

Cheers, Top Don.
Just checked in Clarets Chronicles and the match is there. The game was played two days after being knocked out of the East Lancs Cup, over two legs, by Nelson.
The Brest, who is listed as scoring two, is Tom Prest. He played most of the following season as our #10 and bit parts for the following two seasons.

Just spotted that lower down he is listed as Tommy Prest. The first use is a typo.

Burnley scorer, Harry Storer's Management style was a big influence on a young Brian Clough (along with Alan Brown)
Storer Managed Derby County, 1955-1962. Brian Clough turned up at the Baseball Ground 5 years later.

When the ball moves. There is a bus stop right outside the travel lodge. Any bus that comes along goes into the city centre. If you want to get in quick catch the 727 or the 35 or 37. They are Stagecoach buses. From where you are a taxi would only cost a tenner. Good Brewers Fayrr next door to you. P.S. I only live 5 mins from travel lodge. Could meet up for a pint!

So we lost to Blackburn Rovers as well it would appear.
Kind of bizarre that only had eight players listed and we had six out of our eleven that we apparently didn't know who they were.

Rayzer thanks for the info. A pint sounds good. Planning to head to Brewdog HQ at some stage, clearly! :)

Are you a BFC or AFC fan, by the way, not that it makes a difference!

P.S. You'll need a car if you are planning to go to brewdog. It's not easy to get to.

When the ball moves , Start walking into town from Travelodge , cross at the roundabout, and keep walking until you reach bus stop opposite the police station. From there get a 10 or 35 into town and main bus station. From there get a 68 "Buchan Express" and get off at Ellon. From there , short taxi ride to Brew dog HQ. I live 5 minutes walk from Travelodge but work offshore and my rotation is changing daily at the moment so no guarantee I'll be home. Keep in touch on here and if I am can give you a run up to Brew dog as my girlfriend lives in Ellon and drive up regularly. Hope this helps. Bus to Ellon is 40 minutes from Aberdeen.

Stand Free, thats great instructions, my only worry for when the ball moves is whether he would have enough time to get there and back before the game, dependant on when he arrives. Hence the advice about having a car.

Yes , at least an hours travel to get there and an hour to get back . That's with all going well and no waiting time. Need to give himself 4 to 5 hours for the trip.
