I don't understand what Puma have to do with the shirt sponsor?

This is pretty much the norm nowadays, great clubs with tradition and history reduced to walking advertising boards for gambling companies.

I hate it.

The media cannot discuss a game without some rancid loudmouth first barking out the betting odds in a cockney accent.

Burnley should have told them to **** off if they had any class.

The club say a record deal, without giving a figure.
No surprise there then, but I did say I could put up with anything, so long as the club got a good deal. It sounds like they have.

Another 2 bit piece of **** betting company with Chinese writing on it.

Keep it classy Burnley FC

It's a shame fag companies can't sponsor anymore, they might pay us more than gambling.

It says across all competitions. I’m sure I read somewhere (ClaretTony??) that betting companies weren’t allowed on shirts in Europa League games.

I wanted you to raise a similar point at the next supporters group meeting if possible.

My son is 11 and is in a small men's shirt.
Now he is a tall lad for his age, but there is no way on this earth a man ( over 16 or 18 ) will be in a small men's shirt.
So my question is, will they be making some shirts with no sponsors in for the kids under 16 regardless of size, or will the sizes and shirts be brought into line with the people that wear them.
I think it's common knowledge the shirts have certainly been getting smaller/tighter fitting over the years.

I just don't think our children shoukd be walking around in these shirts advertising gambling firms, and an option should be made available for them to avoid doing so.

Edit - its not a financisl issue although the shirts are increased for "men sizes", I''d be happy to pay the adults price without the sponsor on for him if there was an option to do so.

The shirt sponsorship rules come from the country you are playing the game in. Same with alcohol sponsors too.

You will have read it on here, I've seen it posted more than once. I actually stuck up a pic of Everton last season in the Europe League to show that's not the case. No rules at all from UEFA preventing betting sponsors. The only restriction would come if we played in a country that doesn't permit it.

It's illegal for them to sell kids shirt with the sponsor on. It's also the case that the players can't wear them if they are under-18. Dwight McNeil was 18 when he came on as a sub in the last game, had he been 17 he would have had to wear a shirt with no sponsor.

I know that, but what about the masses of kids that will need to wear small men's or bigger shirts barely in their teens ?
Is it not possible and in the childrens best interest, for the club to sell children their shirts whatever their size with no sponsors on?
Either that or we need to bring in correct sizes rellivent to the kids ages and size.

I think it'd ser a nice president if out club offered that.

It's a major problem, if my lad is in a small men's at 11, there must be hundreds if not thousands of kids under 18 wearing shirts they shouldn't be.

Yes, the logo is awful and betting companies are not particularly rated amongst supporters. However at least the logo is sky blue, and is claret when on white (which will work on white and yellow away kits)

I'd much prefer to see a logo incorporate or compliment the club colours rather than having Dafabet, Oak FurnitureLand / SofaStore.com or Hunters branded colours on the front.

I have to admit that was my first thought - Laba "Legendary Luck" or Labia "Legendary Lick"

I can understand the cash appeal of betting company sponsorships, but the vast sums of money these companies are making is only possible because of the vast sums of money of being lost by people. And the only concessions they are making to limit the spread of their vehicle for misery are taglines they don't believe in like "When the Fun Stops, Stops".

When you take into account the 3% to 15% the Government pulls in from taxing online/offshore companies it equates to a consumer spending reduction of 85% to 97% in other areas of our disposable income economy. The tagline should be "As the Spending Rises the Misery Increases".

It's a socio/economic problem of epic magnitude that will have a devastating impact on many families in the near future and any association with them is a little sordid.

I would have preferred to hear that of our family club had signed sign a deal that leant more towards old fashioned values and concern for the wider community instead of one focussed on "Cash is King".

At the very least I would expect a compromise that did some good for people and highlighted the social conscience of the club. Something along the lines of "Our record breaking deal has brough in a huge amouny of money so instead of charging for our next sleeve sponsorhsip we will offer it free to a deserving charity - like Stand up To Cancer".

What we stand for as a club is just as important, and I would personally say more important, that what we earn when it comes to promotional opportunities.

I think it looks huge because the advertiser's logo is very close to the camera. I don't want to sound like a smart ar$e but it's called perspective.
On a positive note at least it's in our colours and doesn't have the garish yellow we had last year.

Bloody awful imo

I doesn't even look like it's properly aligned either. It looks like the chip has slipped when they were printing it,I think its done like that because the chip is so ******* massive that it would have cut into the club crest

The graphic design is fugly as well

The 360 should have been placed immediately to the right of the text and displayed at a height equal to both lines of text.

Image

Dropping the 360 down and making it larger gives an offset appearance that draws attention away from the text and towards the 360 which could mean anything.

Not upto anyone really but the buck will stop with the chairman. But if I was to pay millions of pounds to a Burnley Football Club, I'd expect to put whatever I wanted on their football shirt.

I agree ... the club has excelled in everything in the past eight years or so.

So let's stop the moaning and let the folk who have done all the excelling get on with their excelling.

I dread to think what would happen if we get relegated. Probably this messageboard will be left with the meanderings of IT.

Any idea what the new shirt sponsors are paying the club for the privilege of putting their logo on the kit? You hear of some clubs getting a fortune?

We’ve moved on since POCO and Alfs Butty Shop but to Put it bluntly Who the **** are LaBa?

We’ve moved on since POCO and Alfs Butty Shop but to Put it bluntly Who the **** are LaBa?
It's record breaking but you would imagine every sponsorship deal is likely to be given that the price has to keep going up. When we signed the Dafabet deal we were just going back into the Premier League, probably the deal was done before got there. It wasn't a very big deal apparently, but not a clue what we've got this time.
