A family of G.S. Woodpeckers, the first of the young fledged, but the other was not for moving.

Female bird flew off with the young one that has Fledged just after these picture were taken.

24 hours later, that youngster had still not left the nest

This one lost 3 or 4 sand eels to the Herring Gull before managing to scuttle into his burrow. They’re actually incredibly adept at avoiding the waiting mugging parties.
