Rhodes set to move to Norwich

Post by ecc » Tue Jul 10, 2018 1:36 pm

Apparently Jordan Rhodes is set to be loaned by Wednesday to Norwich. He's certainly travelled a lot these last few seasons.

I was confidently told at different times that he was way better than Charlie Austin (Southampton), better than Danny Ings (Liverpool) and better than Andre Gray (Watford).

Weird how he's still mid-table Championship bearing that in mind.

I've never quite worked out why he chooses not to score all the time. :?

Well, at least it will make it easier to get there.

Oh, sorry, Rhodes, not roads.

Hopefully he'll get a few against those d!ckheads down the motorway.

Be funny if his goals sent em down. :D

Norwich have been desperate for a goalscorer. Good signing for them.

If your team is set up for him and he doest have to do too much other than put it in the net.

Good goalscorer. Unfortunately he looks lightweight and lacking in confidence over the last few years. Perhaps earnt enough and not as motivated?

Loaned to a rival Championship team doesn’t sound like an upwards move. If Wednesday can do without him, he’s pretty much f*cked career wise.

Not any more he isn't.
Failed at Boro
Failed at Sheff Wed (did you see where they finished in the table and he was sat on the bench for most of the season)
Will fail at Norwich who are in dire financial trouble

He was decent at bast-ards but nowhere near repaid them for his £40k a week 4 year contract.....that does not sound much now....6 or 7 years ago it was a hell of a lot.

Agreed it's been a while since he had a good season.Didn't get much game time at weds, think with a run of games he can still score a 15-20.Only personal opinion mind Leon Clarke got over 20 goals in the championship so I am sure a fit Jordan Rhodes can do it.

There is a reason why he is not getting a run of games though and why he has become a bench player for the last 4 or 5 years.

Leon Clarke always had ability - he just had very little application. Hence why he has had so many clubs and ended up at the likes of Bury. His biggest problem is that as soon as he has a decent run of games his focus turns to getting more money and securing his next move. He’s a high maintenance but unlike Rhodes he’s a big unit so get him fit and he causes problems. If Rhodes is not scoring he contributes nothing and if he’s not playing he always looks unfit. As someone said he seems to have lost his motivation for playing

Perhaps your right. Think the jury is still out and could go either way flop are me near the top of the scoring charts! Going to side with that he will have a good season if no injuries.Just looked he is only 28 thought he was a bit olde tbh.
