McNeil was very good on the ball tonight, and that’s before his excellent volley

And those grumbling about the sound quality are obviously millenials, and not familiar with 70's continental ties where the commentary was usually via a dodgy phone line. Used to think it made the match seem awfully exotic.
Yeah I wonder why, the club said sign up for free stream, people signed up and didn't get a stream. I don't know how it started working for some but when I pressed watch live it kept bringing up subscription options.

Not sure what issues everyone had.
But the app worked like a treat from start to finish (first 5 minutes apart).

McNeil was very impressive the second half. Be interesting to see if he can get a decent loan this season

Hopefully they'll put the highlights up later, a couple of good goals from Agyei and McNeil.

If Dwight McNeil doesn't make it, then I'll be a Chinaman.

Thought McNeil was excellent and didn't look out of place at all. Dunne looks a good player too. What happened to lindgaard is he injured as ledgzins looks like a bit of a liability.

Sounds like we've got a right player on our hands if he doesn't look out of place in a friendly match against Preston

Signed up tonight for Clarets player for coming season.

Now my log in isn't recognised and couldn't see the PNE game as a result.

Come on whoever runs this service, or have I been scammed?

I was signed in on android, apple and desktop. Recognised me on all but didn’t get a picture until 1 minute before our mass substitutions and that was on the desktop. Not complaining cos it was better than nothing, which is what I expected.

Dunne played a couple of very sloppy balls to a marked midfielder only 30yds from our goal. We got away with them both but he needs an SD lecture. It’s a no-no.

Fairly strong to begin with, brought proper squad players on as the game progressed whereas we threw on a lot of youth

Gudmundsson stand out player for me tonight - Dyche seemed to assign him some sort of free role - allowed him to roam around the ten attacking third as opposed to sticking at right mid. Really allowed him to affect the game.

I thought David Baldwin was supposed to be the new Messiah when he came in?

In first half Tarks was the best player on the pitch by a country mile.
Lennon and Lowts combined really well.
JBG was good.
Mee and Tom a bit shaky.
Hendrick played well.
Westwood was mixed - some excellent passing and join up play but got caught on the ball at least 3 times.
Sam did well.

Second half - hard to tell who was who. Stand out player was McNeil. Saw him last year for u23s and thought he was our best player. He seems confident. Going to be very hard for him to make our bench but I would love to see him do this and get minutes coming on in either Europa or league cup games. If we cannot get him enough minutes before Christmas i`d then look at sending him out on loan...but rather he got a chance first. He was playing against decent players last night and did not look out of place at all...and he also took a few tough challenges

Hopefully at Championship level. Do we wait for suitors to come calling for our youngsters, or do we tout them around the league's. Genuine question, I haven't a clue how loans are done today.
I suppose whether he spends time on the bench, depends on how SD4 recovers. A big worry that he seems to be picking up long term niggles again. He was back at Barnfield, and on the grass long before the rest of the squad, yet seems to have gone backwards again. We need him fit , and at his best, but simple strains appear to keep him out for weeks. Not a good sign.

Keep in mind that this is the same lot that charged me for another year's subscription even though I'd cancelled the auto renewal and had confirmation as such. They're not great. On the plus side, they did reply to my email about the balls up very, very quickly.
