All credit to Aberdeen for knocking us out of our stride for half a game and almost taking advantage of our early season I adequacies. The fans played a huge part in inspiring their team.

However, they were out on their feet by the end and no match for our skills.

A big victory for the Clarets, at Turf Moor. Not a doubt.

Lads, a lot of you are kidding yourselves on. Truth is you snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat. Very interesting hive mindset of denial since the final whistle sounded. I've been taking notes on a few of you today and stripping apart your collective psyche. I'll post up my findings tomorrow. Word of warning, fellas...it makes for grim reading

Aberdeen are much better than we were given credit for before the game and really should have roasted Burnley 3 or 4 nil.

You had 4 or 5 break aways, we dominated the chances. Your keeper and defenders stopped some real chances. Lets have it right.

I doubt you will understand the Burnley psyche Millertime. Its hard even for those of us with 50+ years support behind us.

For what its worth - Aberdeen were workmanlike with out much end product, we were poor and gave at least 2 real gilt edged chances which you contrived to miss. Not something we usually do and I dont expect we will do next week.

Despite all that you didn't trouble us much, and we managed a point with a well taken goal late on. Overall I'm very happy with a draw away against a decent side when we were not playing particularly well. But if we get through things will have to get better.

Hope you enjoy your trip to Turf Moor; I was there when we beat Celtic in 1978 and the memories are not great!

The only conclusion is there are some ridiculous, petty Aberdeen fans, and some ridiculous thin skinned Clarets.
Someone should bang your heads together, you all sound sad.

Laddie,

The website you refer to is run by a guy who started a thread openly rejoicing and ridiculing a person with mental problems when he took his own life.

Yet he has the right to decide what should or shouldn't be posted.

Since I departed along with a gentleman from Wick, the site has descended into nothing more than idiots celebrating how much alcohol they can consume accompanied by pictures of pints of lager, and employees of the NHS openly bragging about drug intake, proving it by posting pictures of themselves taking said drugs.

I am a season ticket holder at Pittodrie and have 4x Corporate tickets.

Get off your high horse. I don't know you, you don't know me. So don't make assumptions.

Quite correct Tup.

Not sure if you were reading this forum prior to the game at Pittodrie? If so you would have noticed how Aberdeen, being a Mickey Mouse club from the arse end of nowhere, were just an inconvenience to deal with before their European adventure began.

This changed to 'Being pleased with draw away from home' soon enough.

Clearly not part time Aberdeen supporting weegie Frank Miller.

We were poor on the night but understand this the more you come at us the better we are.
I have read your forum and people think we are there for the taking if you attack us.
Please do play outside your own half be expansive and see what happens.
The truth is you huffed and puffed and sat so deep and put bodies in the way and I thought, in the end, deserved your draw, however, coming down here how are you going to play it you have to come at us at some point.

Your right we should beat you with the 25 million pound Chris Wood !!!

Have a safe trip down and enjoy your night

Wow, being called a pisshead by a scotsman! If you are sober, you are an embarrassment to your fellow jocks. Listen, bud, at least I don’t have to go trolling on other teams’ forums to make myself feel like a supporter, so good away and plague your own kind in the pub league you call the scots prem.

Trust me, there won’t be a whimper out of you after the next game. FYI, I read the thread in the build up to the game but, IMO, you weren’t trolling then but you seemed to grow a pair on the back of a lucky penalty. Btw, if you are so easily embarrassed, you are not a scotsman; I have a grudging respect for some of them, but certainly not you.

Wow, what a thread!

Not too much glory gained by a few fans from both teams if I'm being honest.

As for the game itself, I thought we were the better footballing side by some distance. The penalty decision was an absolute joke but we are extremely used to joke penalties so water off a ducks back.

Thursday won't be a stroll for us but I am quietly confident from what I saw in the first leg. Aberdeen have to score. They will leave themselves exposed and we should do the job.

As for the negativity towards Aberdeen itself, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Spoke with a number of their fans and thought we were made to feel welcome (apart from the landlord who wanted to stop serving because of fans singing! I'm sorry, you serve fans for 4 hours then it's not going to be like a library!).

Apologies to the locals for the trolls who it appears have dragged Aberdeen's name through the mud on this thread. Lions on the internet and mice in real life.

First leg we played out of our skins for the opening half an hour or so but for the rest of the match you were pretty much the better side. In the end the draw was a fair result. Thursday night I'd fully expect Burnley to win although they're are no such things as certainties. Glad you enjoyed your time in our City.
