Haven't got a clue about statistics, but I am certain Jayrod is a much better player, who would walk into our starting eleven.

Players form rises and falls. Going off 2014 form I'd agree, last season though.MRG wrote:Jay Rod is a different level. Next Question?
JayRod - 2800mins 7 Goals
Barnes - 2150mins 9 goals

I was thinking the same thing. Might as well compare 2 similar sorts of players at least.ClaretTony wrote:Totally different players

Re: Barnes v Jay rod
completely different players with different skill sets, Jay would massively improve our options

Re: Barnes v Jay rod
I think Wood and Jay would make a good partnership.
Re: Barnes v Jay rod
Apologies I misread the question. I thought the question was who is the better player not who has the better goals per min ratioCombatClaret wrote:Players form rises and falls. Going off 2014 form I'd agree, last season though.
JayRod - 2800mins 7 Goals
Barnes - 2150mins 9 goals
Re: Barnes v Jay rod
When Barnes is fully fit, only an idiot would leave him out the team, he was absolutely brilliant last year.

Re: Barnes v Jay rod
Might as well compare Cahill and Heaton.
Both great players, but different styles.
Jay a better footballer, Barnes a bigger pain in the arse, and no slouch.
P.S. I'd like them both. The difference between Jay and another forward, is you could find a place for him in the team alongside any of the other strikers, it doesn't mean the bench for anyone.

Re: Barnes v Jay rod
A front three from Jay, Wood, Barnes and Vokes when we are chasing a game would be interesting.
