As much as people leaving early can be annoying I can't believe what i saw last night!
Two chaps behind us left at 90 and to watch extra time in the pub! And another couple leaving (to avoid traffic?)
Couldn't believe it!
On another note a girl next to me had come over from Bardados for the game - Well done you!

I would have had to leave early had someone not come to my rescue with a lift

I'll apologise for leaving 1 minute before the whistle - I had a 3 hour drive home to MK to look forward to and then an 8am start today at work...

Sorry Rick, I have screenshot this and sent it to the club asking that you be banned from future matches as you are clearly not superfan enough to follow Burnley. I hope they put you in stocks and let us all throw rotten fruit at you should you ever venture inside the town's boundaries again!

People getting trains might have had to go early. I used to have this dilemma for night games. I sued to get the train to and from St Annes and I had to be out of the ground no later than 9.25pm to get the last train back. Hated cup ties with the chance of extra time and even got nervy if there was a long break in play for an injury.

During the match was there not an announcement to Aberdeen fans about getting to Manchester for trains?

I’m a real fan so I stayed until the end. But I got home an hour and a half later than I intended on doing and missed my last connecting train home so had to pay the best part of £20 on top of my rail fares on a taxi home. Some have young kids, others have an early start in the morning. There’s plenty of reasons why people choose to leave early and it really isn’t anyone else’s business.

"During the match was there not an announcement to Aberdeen fans about getting to Manchester for trains?" I thought about that. Would the train be going Burnley- Manchester then Manchester -York and from York to Aberdeen ? A late night for their fans but well done to them for the turnout.

Who cares when people leave. They paid to be there and can leave whenever they please.

I think suing to get a train is a little extreme to be honest

The earliest I left was about 10 mins into the second half of that Peterborough match in the snow - Joe Lewis reminded me of that. Oh what fun that journey was that night. It was when we started goading their fans with "you're not going home" that I thought "hold on, neither am I". Singing it as I made my way to the exit.

It’s the only way with modern train companies!

It was my first game at the Turf for some while
and I drove up the previous day with a friend to
make sure we got a ticket.
So although we had a longish drive back we stayed
but have no issue we anyone who had to leave early for whatever reason.
Nightmare journey back down the M6.
Close at two points (J27-26 and J18-17) but they took us off the
at J20. And then to cap it all exit to M5 from M6 was also closed.
Got home just after 4.00am.
But it was a cracking, if not nerve racking game
with a great atmosphere. The Aberdeen fans were fantastic.
Thank god we won.

Train etc I understand, but to go to the pub to watch a game on TV when you are already there experiencing it?

It is one thing to leave because "can't be arsed" it is another because of other pressures-travel home, transport home, early start for work etc and to assume all those who left early are the former is crazy. Many of us travel many many miles to see the Clarets even when we could watch the game on TV so let's not be criticising those who leave early without knowing why. The lady next to me had to leave as she had to travel for a job interview today. I doubt I would have been much good for an interview today given it was 12.15 when I got home here and well after 2am before i got off to kip as my head was still buzzing from the game and atmosphere last night.
What a night and what an experience-and yet again something never expected taking me back to the EC games of 1960/61 season. Was away at Uni in the NE during the Fairs cup games and used to watch Newcastle and Sunderland. On a separate note comparing supporters I have never been as scared at a match as when N/C played Rangers in the semi-final second leg of the Fairs cup around 1969 when after each of the two goals scored in the second half there was a mass pitch invasion by the Rangers around 2000 plus fans, the second time they started lobbing bottles cans and other missiles into the crowd where i was standing and it took police with dogs and maybe even mounted police over 20 minutes to restore order. Nice to compare that with the Aberdeen supporters last night.
