Suppose we should see a positive reaction at the Cardiff match, like we did on Sunday.

Seriously, some of the utter sh1te which gets posted on here after a defeat is, in a very non funny way, laughable.
Dyche out, Lampard in!!!??? Are you absolutely stupid or 7 years old?
Barnes and Vokes no longer good enough? Vokes played very well at the weekend and Barnes bagged two!
Some Burnley fans just think we should be walking every game we play unless it's against the top 6. Some fans think United were there "for the taking" despite their team being full of far better players than we can dream of.
I am disappointed at being knocked out tonight, I really wanted a cup run but FFS wanting the best manager we've had for however many years sacked due to a cup exit is just plain daft.

Re: GoneforaBurton versus MIGHTY CLARETS
So now we haven't got any cup distractions, surely the fans can expect an upturn in league form, from now until the FA Cup impinges on our priority of Premier League survival ,we play 15 league games even a point a game would give us about 20 points by the time Auld Lang Syne rings out.
The time for excuses is over we need to pick up points regularly,we have a fully fit squad apart from Robbie, and until December a very light schedule,3 games in October and 3 games in November.

He controlled the moves, when he had the ball and created a par for himself, at will . Also cane back and defended.Buxtonclaret wrote:Is he having a good game, Ian?

Why would Lampard come anyway? Hes at a bgger club and doing OK.bf2k wrote:Agreed about attacking football but Lampard is unproven and a huge risk.

To be fair, United were there for the taking had our players been up for it. Brighton showed everyone that.Goodclaret wrote:Seriously, some of the utter sh1te which gets posted on here after a defeat is, in a very non funny way, laughable.

Re: GoneforaBurton versus MIGHTY CLARETS
United are a team full of very good players. If we play them 10 times it's very likely we would lose 8 or 9 of them. Players can be as "up for it" as possible but it doesn't make them better than the United players - if they perform then we will probably lose.nyclaret wrote:To be fair, United were there for the taking had our players been up for it. Re: GoneforaBurton versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Agreed. But they were there for the taking given their current form. It's not as if we've never beaten a top 6 team at home.Goodclaret wrote:United are a team full of very good players. Re: GoneforaBurton versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I know what you are saying, in a way. It was probably a better time to play them but you could say the same about our current form too? We were our creative players short (Defour/Brady would have given us a better chance) so it was still going to be a huge ask to beat them.nyclaret wrote:Agreed. Not on the day we played them. They were fired up and focussed.nyclaret wrote:Agreed. But they were there for the taking given their current form. It's not as if we've never beaten a top 6 team at home.
