Awful performance again, really worrying how bad we are, thankfully Huddersfield and Cardiff are dreadful so will occupy 2 of the relegation zones.

That's coz they aren't playing in the PL. WBA and Middlesbrough didn't play good football at all during their most recent PL outings.

A most welcome three points. But what has happened to us since the first half of the Leicester game last season?

Clearly our midfield is almost non existent and we are missing Arfield. But other players are a shadow of their former selves.

56% passing accuracy from us - lowest recorded in PL
Says it all for me
This win will paper over the cracks - but those cracks (in ability) getting wider
Tarks with a groin injury so now down to 2 CB's at mo

We are 12th and only 3 points behind Man Utd. Scruffy wins still count.

the pass accuracy thing is the most worrying trend from this season and is totally beyond belief for a professional football side

Might not be a bad season for us after all Cardiff are gone already,If Huddersfield and Newcastle are as poor there you have it,we will finish fourth from bottom about 12 points clear of these three, best league in the World? There must be some really poor ones if it is!

Today's result showed we've probably got a bit too much experience and know how to go down.

We really lack a leader on the field.
We need someone like Joey Barton, barking orders and telling players where they are supposed to be, and what they are supposed to be doing. We do play like headless chickens.

I think it's currently us, Cardiff and Huddersfield. I can't see Newcastle remaining this bad - Benitez will eventually get money in January.

It was a great 3 points, but there was nothing at all to be positive about.
We were that bad I can't even celebrate, how bad is that. It's just a bloody relief.

I'd say our chance:goal conversion rate was very positive.

If Zaha gets injured Palace will struggle to survive and Brighton look deep in trouble.

We have the ability to grind out wins when required, Brighton don't.

I was going to come on here and say that must be the worst performance that ever yielded us three points but everybody beat me to it. Dick Turpin would have been proud of that robbery.

Playing badly and winning is the sign of a good team.

Played better at Saints and home to Watford.

What I was trying to say was were Burnley...and we won when playing $hit...not that I saw the game.and yes Liverpool are in the top six. I was referring to today's game..if we had played like say they do and lost..would that have made you any happier? Playing poor and getting 3 points isn't all bad...,

Are we attractive to watch=NO
Are we effective in most games=YES

BTW Fulham are below us in the table and are shipping goals for fun.If they don't tighten up their back line, for all their nice football a relegation fight beckons.

Sometimes over a long season results have to be dug out, today was one of those times,Fulham visit Cardiff soon let's see how they cope with the long throw and physical gameplan of Warnock.

Arsenal also struggled to win in South Wales,Cardiff will win home games against some teams,as they will make it a battle and some Premier League players aren't always up for a battle,it won't be enough to save them though.

Huge psychological 3 points today suddenly we're mid-table and have a 5 point cushion to the bottom 3,with Huddersfield at the Turf next.

Could be a turning point in our campaign,if Cardiff had turned us over today they would have leapfrogged us,their own gaffer pinpointed this match as must win and they didn't win, they remind me of our 1st Premier League season with Sean in 2014/15,plenty of endeavour but not enough quality.

Do we need to improve, hell yeah as Ed Milliband would say, will we go down no chance, some posters claim we haven't played well in our last couple of matches, and yet we have scored 6 conceded only 1 and have 6 points to show for those efforts.

Cardiff effectively threw away their games v the bigger and better clubs to concentrate on beating us.

You can't guarantee anything in this league, and 3 points however we get them should be celebrated

And for all the talk of us being outplayed today and at Wolves, along with a victory that flattered us against Bournemouth we've only conceded 2 goals in our last three matches.

Yes resilience is appearing again which is vital, even today we showed character to turn the game after their equaliser.

Resilience only comes with stability, especially in the back 5 - we didn’t have that early doors with the Europa League fixtures thrown in. We will improve, and improve quickly now. The only spanner in that is Tarks injury, but we have good proven back up in Long.

Absolutely, and they were telling us about it all week. One thing we never do is belittle other clubs by picking and choosing games, it is always one game at a time etc... They lacked class with that all week and now after the game they bemoan how unlucky they were with the pen etc. Got what they deserved....nothing

Not the classiest if games, that's for sure. However, both sides fought hard and closed down quickly.

2 goals and 3 points. Great stuff. That's 6 points from back to back wins.

We will get better.

Here is Naughty Madge to celebrate the win.

Their penalty shout fair does i've seen refs give those, but equally Sam was taken down when through on goal,so swings and roundabouts.

Looking back for all Cardiff's shots and corners, they created few clear-cut chances, several goalmouth scrambles admittedly but Joe didn't have that much to deal with,a couple of decent saves but you'd expect most keepers at this level to make those.

Totally agree. The only reason we look vulnerable is because we have weaknesses in our defence and are not as solid as last season. We give the impression of panic and likeliness of conceding at any point.

In terms of Cardiff they were nowhere near good enough
