Re: Bellew
So far so good, but it takes that long to start with all the cr@p that goes on before a fight
I am not counting my chickens yet. They sometimes cut off as the action starts.
However, I am using a VPN so I may avoid that catastrophe !!
Fingers crossed.

That was obvious. Classic breaking someone down and lights out.
Hope Usyk gets his chance to do the same to AJ.

Thank you and goodnight. Waited his turn and then, wallop.
Goodnight Vienna. He tried, but a step too far I'm afraid.

Re: Bellew
Belle started it well and if he was going to win it needed to be in the first half.
You don’t get hold all the belts without knowing how to ride out the punches and bide your time.

Having to make the weight won't have helped him.

Bellew humble in defeat. Said he gave it everything but wasnt enough and he has no excuses. Fair play.

Appreciate it being his last bout but should take a leaf out of UFC’s book and not invterview when they’ve been knocked out. He clearly was still not with it.

Re: Bellew
AJ is promoted by Eddie Hearn, Right_winger doesn't like the way in which Hearn has popularised British boxing, he believes Hearn promotions attract "casuals" (his words) and as such would probably - deep down - rather see a popular British boxer lose to an eastern European than see the filth who watch four fights a year watch their guy (the British bloke) winning.bobinho wrote:Why?
Long story short, Right_winger once had a 'pure' (in his mind) cause, and the "casuals" have since (because of Hearn, obviously) diluted his fandom to such a degree that he's hoping British boxing fails. It's the standard, run-of-the-mill, puritanical zealotry of a religious-like fundamentalist. In other words he's a super-fan, or at least attempting to pass as one.
More evidence here:

Notably...
tl;dr, imagine 'Orient game' w@nkers deriding PL-era Burnley fans and you're close to the money as to why he wants AJ to lose.Right_winger wrote:Not a chance. Fast Eddie always does a fabulous job of convincing mostly the casuals otherwise though.
Usyk will cause serious problems at Heavyweight and I’d love him to be given a crack to derail AJ. Fast Eddie won’t allow that though. Gotta keep milking that cow.

You are incorrect on so many levels, looking likely that you are taken in by the hype.
I’m not a super fan by any means, I just have knowledge and know what I’m talking about. He’ll i even box myself, who’d have thought it eh.
My reasons for disliking Hearn’s marketing strategy is the hype which certain people gain. I don’t like hype. AJ is prime target mainly because he isn’t actually that good and shouldn’t even be bought of in the same breath as the likes of Lennox Lewis etc yet those with little knowledge buy into it.
Anyway yes I’d be routing for Usyk to beat AJ because I’m a boxing fan and Usyk is a very special boxer.
There’s tons of British fighters out there who deserve some real promotion and profile but just don’t get it, Josh Taylor being the prime example.
I say things how I see them. Hearn attracts casual fans which little knowledge of what they are looking at. That’s fine in Itself, it’s when they spam social media with their nonsense that it becomes a little bit wearing, so seeing their hero getting beaten has a high level of satisfaction.
It’s a bit like wanting Leeds to get beat.
Clearly you have taken a view and attempted to add arms and legs to it. Basically your a clown.

Ha! *You're*, like, but whatever. Thanks for not only proving but actually adding weight to my point. You're the bloke who does 10 minutes on a heavy bag twice a week and thinks he's Tyson. Nice to know where we all stand. I've made my point. I'm out. Peace out, fam.

Re: Bellew
Not seen much of Usyk I must admit. I'm sure he could avoid getting hit but has he got the power to trouble the big heavyweights like Joshua?

Get over yourself, mate. Incendiary comments are only ever going to be met with incendiary responses; that's the internet. Find another hobby if you're so aghast at the nature of the medium.HunterST_BFC wrote:jeeze -

Re: Bellew
Yes he has more than enough pop to drop Joshua. Usyk doesn’t reply on power though and rarely uses power shots. He uses angles speed as technique.jrgbfc wrote:Not seen much of Usyk I must admit. Bellew is much faster than Joshua both in foot movement and hand speed never mind Usyk.
Joshua’s big advantage is his size and length, but I think Usyk would get under his shots easily.
Let’s not forget Usyk is a big man aswell at 6”3
