A plea to the Burnley players, give the fans something to get behind, whilst pocketing your £45k a week.

What's a so called fan? How about so called players on £45k a week playing like Sunday pub team players, it's a two way thing.

The fans aren’t the issue, though I have no doubt some esteemed posters on here will say they are the reason these overpaid losers are incapable of a five yard pass.

Re: A plea to Burnley Fans
Yes, I think I'm entitled to criticise when certain players are consistently poor, isn't that allowed in your world. These players are the highest paid Burnley players ever, and yes, to be honest, a fair number tonight were pub team standard. Sorry you disagree, but we are are all entitled to an opinion.

What's your problem pal, personal vendetta? , I think a fair few of us have changed our minds recently given the poor performances that are heading towards relegation.Wile E Coyote wrote:but you were more than happy to lend your backing to someone who suggested critics should just **** off at the start of the season
Please advise me on what my opinions are allowed to be for the rest of the season.

Re: A plea to Burnley Fans
Let’s face it that was just garbage, what on earth have they been doing in training to turn out a performance like that.

Re: A plea to Burnley Fans
Don’t normally post too often and not one of the Dyche our brigade but I can only tell it as I see it. Newcastle were poor and we were worse. Dyche’s tactics and substitutions and worrying. It was just plane awful, how Brady lasted soo long on the pitch is frankly amazing.

Re: A plea to Burnley Fans
Reading the posts here this might sound daft. I thought we were unlucky not to get a point. Newcastle were gifted with an og in the first few minutes. Any defender could have done that. They did show some spark sometimes for long periods most notably towards the end if the first half.
Vokes excellent goal barely got a cheer. Hence my original post.

'We were unlucky not to get a point'
Talk about Claret tints we were lucky it wasn't 3 or 4-1 to them. I'm surprised you are not saying 'it's not these games that matter' or 'it's the next three that matter' or it's 'fine margins'. We were second best all over. The defence was shambolic and Wood and Vokes played together as most fans expected. The wide players offered nothing bar some defensive work by Lennon. Cork was woeful. It was a terrible set up and garbage performance again.

Brady would have been subbed after 20 minutes by most aspiring pub team managers.Pimlico_Claret wrote:Yes, I think I'm entitled to criticise when certain players are consistently poor, isn't that allowed in your world. Depends what that pub team manager was looking at. Yup, Brady was pants but if we're going to get out of this hole, then he is one of the few players in this team who are capable of the creative spark we need. He (and Defour) need time to get back into it and while it is November and not January those two will retain my support, even if they will both be unhappy with their contributions.
Well, at least we don't have to become bored by mid table mediocrity.

Re: A plea to Burnley Fans
Unfortunately Dyche and his team selection/tatics are sucking the enthusiasm out of supporters, there is only so much detritus football you can watch before apathy and frustation sets in and even though it`s earlyish in the season his reluctance to change anything is contributing to it.

There is a player in there and we all want him to perform but to leave him on for 82 minutes smacks of desperation really, hoping he produces one bit of magic.Lordlucan wrote:Depends what that pub team manager was looking at. It won't stop me getting behind them either but my honest opinion is the players are struggling because the tactics are wrong.
I always said 17th is fine but that's without having to endure the anguish of being 17th!

Re: A plea to Burnley Fans
I didn't think it was a garbage performance. I thought it was frustrating and there is work to be done. Talk about Claret Tints. Just because we finished 7th last season it seems to me many posters on here are expecting the same. Don't expect. I fully expect us to finish in the bottom half. We will be sucked into the dog fight. It's anybody's guess whether we avoid relegation. One thing for sure getting on the backs of the players won't help. It was like a morgue first half apart from the Geordie vocals and hardly a peep from our lot when Sam's excellent header went in.Blackrod wrote:'We were unlucky not to get a point'![]()
