AEK v Ajax
Hooliganism hits a new low with a petrol bomb being thrown by Greek fans, yes a petrol bomb.
Whatever next ?

Absolutely crazy Aclaret (we had people get first hand in Athens from the Police even.... )

Why Eufa don't take a stand agaist things like this is beyond me.....

Greek fans do not travel to away games in Greece ... I've been told because of things like this...

Nothing will ever beat the pigs head that landed at the feet of Luis Figo whilst he was taking a corner against Barcelona in 2002.

I'd rather a pigs head lands at my feet than a petrol bomb!

How on earth do you get a petrol bomb in the ground !!
Unless the Greek police perhaps give a helping hand.

How would you get a pigs head into the ground?

Come to think of it, how did someone smuggle a chicken into Ewood Park when we beat them?

Wouldn't be a huge surprise given the behavior of some of the Greek police when we were out there.

Ajax ultras and PAOK ultras had attacked the AEK ultras HQ/bar the night before and kicked them to **** before burning the bar down. Everyone should have known what was going to happen at the game itself. And Greek police are notoriously partisan with their own supporters.

Greece: Ajax fans injured by petrol bomb in Athens stadium Includes Video...
A petrol bomb exploded in the stands of Athens' Olympic Stadium ahead of a Champions League match between AEK Athens and the Netherlands' Ajax on Tuesday night.

Clashes broke out between the fans after a petrol bomb injured several of the Ajax supporters.

Footage shows the flash of a fireball, which left several Ajax football fans injured. Police in riot gear rushed to the scene and worked to disperse the rivals.

Exactly. Dont pretend Ajax are innocent victims in all this. Clearly a petrol bomb is unaceptable. But Ajax are as bad as any in europe and will have been running amok last few days.

Hooliganism accross europe is as extreme as its ever been.

It’ll be English clubs who’ll get banned for something though, we all know how it works

Same as in Athens when we were there.

No trouble at all on the day of the game but the police manage to arrest a coach load and then release them without charge after the game.

They are clueless.

Wasn't it Maggie Thatcher who banned our teams and not UEFA from competing in Europe?

you made me google it... Looks like UEFA issued the ban, and Maggie fully supported it if the link is accurate
