Just for fun. The budget is a little low but you can still get a quality team.

Was going to have a go but got disgruntled at the sheer injustice of Sir Viv only being £2 and Kapil Dev having a higher value than IT Botham.

Have done it in batting order. Bit of a long tail but with that batting line up don't think it would matter!

There's a few you think could be the wrong way round, maybe they have gone off averages etc.. which don't always add up to how you remember them.

Solid top 4,some game changers in the middle order and plenty of wicket takers,if playing on a spinning track/sub continent i'd swap one of the quicks for Murali.

I'm happy with selecting the entire Glamorgan squad whoever they may be.
Not sure what I do with the spare 25 points.

Trescothick - 2
Richards - 2
Strauss - 2
Bell - 1
Jayasuriya - 1
Boucher- 1
Root - 1
Flintoff - 3
Younis - 5
Akhtar - 5
McGrath - 3
Warne - 3
With that bowling line up - I could have myself batting 1st for 4 pence and still fancy the win.

Just the category he's in with two very good bowlers and he's the most expensie of the loy.
He would of been a shoe in if he had Brett Lee and Mitch Johnson up against him.

Gilchrist £5
Ambrose £3
Lee £3
McGrath £3
Warne £3
Flintoff £3
Bell £1
Lara £5
Ponting £3
Smith £3
We simply wouldn’t need a Wildcard
With Smith and Lara opening followed by Ponting, Bell, Gilchrist, Flintoff, Warne I’d expect 600+.
Lee, McGrath, Flintoff, Ambrose, Warne is one hell of an attack.

You only have 10 mate that go over budget with 32.

But to have McGrath for a saving of £2 is quite enticing. Especially as you can match him up with warne for a total of £6

Dravid 3
Strauss 2
Root 1
Ul-Haq 2
ABdV 1
Gayle 1
Gilchrist 5
Kallis 5
Warne 3
Ambrose 3
McGrath 3
But light on the bowling, but I figured you’d win every T20 and ODI, and never lose a test. Plus, McGrath, Warne, Ambrose, Kallis, and a bit of part time bowling elsewhere should see you take 20 wickets most matches

WK - Dhoni 3
Bowler Ambrose 3
Bowler Johnson 2
Bowler McGrath 3
Spinner Warne 3
All Rounder Flintoff 3
Bat 1 Pietersen 3
Bat 2 Lara 5
Bat 3 Root 1
Bat 4 Strauss 2
Bat 5 De Villiers 1
Total Spend - 29
Wild Card Richard 2 - would replace Flintoff and then I would potentially upgrade Strauss to Smith - possibly slightly better captain, and would provide great fun seeing how he and Pietersen would get on in the same XI.
As others have said, Jimmy Anderson being 60% more expensive than McGrath rules him out in that category.

Most on there won't ever have played 20/20.
I think it's aimed at Test matches.
