for such a serious subject, I'm afraid I laughed at that.

If this escalates further we wont have to worry about Brexit... the Middle East... Venezuela... or Climate change for that matter, let alone whether we're in the Premier League next season.

We're doomed I tell thee

that's why I felt awful laughing at IT's post, but I guess without some gallows humour life would be intolerable sometimes.

You didn't have the guy on here who is fascinated by American politics as a fan of the most entertaining US political drama? I've watched it through about 5 or 6 times. It's my all-time favourite TV show. after The Sooty Show.

Needs calm heads on both sides.

In this era, that is about as likely as a Brexiteer reading official government documentation that tells them they are wrong.

I think a nice little thermonuclear exchange between these old rivals should take our minds of Brexit for a while.

If they launched nuclear bombs at each other, Germany declared war on France, the sun never rose again,we won the Premier League and England won the world cup Brexit would still be on the tip of the tongue for some.

Heh. Remember that time they luckboxed their way to a semi-final and then lost to some no-name eastern European country that had only existed for 5 minutes? That was fun.

That's the fear of human-like figures. The spitting image puppets were barely even caricaturing human-like figures, and they certainly weren't human-like themselves.

Feeling on the Pakistan side is very much “we don’t want a war but we’re ready for it now”.

Already been on the news etc there on what to do to protect yourself if a nuclear attack happens. Flights cancelled and no more able to be booked until further notice - got a feeling of a true “my di(k is bigger than yours” at the minute with the current court case not helping between the 2 countries at all.

Kashmir will always be a touchy subject in that part of the world and both sides are as dodgy as each other for underhand tactics - mushroom cloud potential is high at the minute and though.

Is there any chance it will spill over to British Asians in the UK?

I can’t see that happening really - there’s always been a kind of mutual dislike between the 2 over here but never anything nasty. More “Effin Indians/effin Pakistanis” kind of thing.

There will be loads of blokes sat around having a chai and a cig arguing the toss over it all though up and down the country - it’ll be like the Asian version of Brexit talks.

Yep - I know my old man will be sat watching it as it unfolds and lapping up the facts, stats and lapping up the breaking news.

It’s been coming though a while and I feel it’s both sides flexing a little more than they should have and it’s gotten/getting out of hand now.

Interesting interview from Imran Khan though who said war would be his last resort as 70,000 people have died over these conflicts in the past decade and more casualties is never a good thing.......... yet he also says they’re ready for war :|

Thats the problem, he's feeding on the nationalistic frenzy which these kind of things whip up (as is Mohdi)

Part of me does think that Pakistan shooting down these two planes satisfies their demand to be "seeing to do something"

Which then leaves India with a way out as its technically 1-1.

It’s all a sticky situation - India blaming Pakistan for the terrorist bombing that killed 40 of their troops in Kashmir and injured more. Pakistan have said they have free reign and full cooperation to all intelligence they need to find out what happened in thatterorist attack as they claim they had nothing to do with it.

This is the 2nd India air attack in past couple of days in retaliation/for revenge - the first the planes turned back and just dropped bombs anywhere before crossing back over the border once they realised they would be in a dog fight.

It was apparently 3 planes shot down in this next attack not 2 according to Pakistan - 2 ended up landing in Pakistan of which they captured the pilots and have the wreckage’s and the 3rd landed back over the border which they don’t know what happened to it.

Hopefully it gets resolved amicably before more tit for tat attacks are done as war in that region is easy to start but will be very hard to end.

All the info coming out is conflicting from both sides -

India are saying they sent 18 planes and attacked and attacked a terrorist camp which had around 350 casualties and downed a Pakistani plane in Pakistani territory.

Pakistan say that only 3 planes came from India - 2 downed in Pakistan and one fell in India. Then they captured 2 pilots, which is now 1 pilot .....

I don’t think either side want to paint a true picture of what happened in case they look weak at the minute.

Funny that Spitting Image should rear it's ugly head (I'll get my coat) but I've been tracking this for weeks.
Can't justify the purchase price though. You've still got time to get Maggie if you're quick.

A couple of these appeared on the show four rooms a while back - the dealers were dubious because the materials the puppets were made from deteriorate over time which affects the values (Random bit of information incase IT was going to bid).

“All wars in world history have been miscalculated, those who started the wars did not know where it will end. So, I want to ask India, with the weapons you and we have, can we afford miscalculation?”

Wise words from but can’t we Mohdi backing down now as it will be a huge sign of weakness in the run up to the General Election in India.
