Match Day Foodbank Collections 2023/24

Unfortunately and sadly, we have to report that there will not be any foodbank collections this season outside the Turf ahead of the day time home games. We feel we’ve had very little support from either Burnley Football Club or Burnley FC in the Community and there are two stand out reasons in part...

Re: ARTICLE: New Home for Our Turf Moor Heroes

Firstly, we'd like to thank Tony for publishing our press release this morning and also thank him for all the work he's done on our behalf in finding somewhere for our player boards to go.

We are not in a position as yet to confirm where they are going but will as soon as that's possible.

So how come it was ok once?
It maybe was a game when we weren't collecting, but I can assure you, as already posted, we are not permitted to collect cash.

I have had conflicting answers, at the bin. Once a definite no and another time, just drop your note in.
We cannot accept monetary donations. We’ve asked about it several times but as yet have had no positive response. We want to provide a contactless facility too.

Re: Police after Boro

We have been in discussions with the police on the events on Belvedere Road after the Middlesbrough game. There were issues on both sides and the police are dealing with theirs. We agreed that the main problem was the parking of the coach across the top of Ormerod Yard. That was a club issue.

ClaretsforFoodbanks Collection

The final ClaretsforFoodbanks collection of the year will take place on 17th December ahead of the game against Middlesbrough. Our volunteers are from North Manchester Clarets. As the situation gets worse, more help is needed so if you can help just before Christmas it would really be a huge help. U...

Policing Operation at the Blackburn game

We are seeking views from supporters as to how they felt the policing operation went at Sunday's game against Blackburn, and any general observations as to how the day went overall (not the game or the result). By all means add them to this thread but you can also email them to us at burnleyfcsg at ...

Re: Food Bank

Are the food bank collections operating on Sunday? Unfortunately we are not permitted to collect this Sunday for security reasons although we did confirm that we were happy to have a collection. The Community are expected to collect at the fanzone. Our next collection will be ahead of the Middlesbr...

Re: Foodbank collection this Saturday v Reading

I dont think any of us did it to be named, but it is always nice to be appreciated. I was lucky to meet a man who had won money on clarets lottery and he then went out and spent the money on food and toiletries, he said he did not need the winnings but others are in need. Thank you to that man You ...

Re: Foodbank collection this Saturday v Reading

Big thanks to Accrington Clarets who have volunteered for this Saturday's game. We have a meeting with Burnley FC in the Community tomorrow to see if we can't improve things as the need gets greater. If you can donate any items, please do. We want to ensure no one on this area is going without food ...

Re: CLARETS PLAYERS PORTRAITS TURF MOOR.

Our organisation arranged for the placing of the boards on the walls in 2017 and our organisation's members paid for most of them. We queried the removal of them with the football club chairman back in May 2021 and we have in our possession a response from him promising that they will be placed back...
