Good run in should we need it

Tough 6 weeks from December, but really happy with the start and end we've got.

Great that both Norwich and Spurs fall later in the year, at weekend and can be made weekends of.

I had visions of spurs being either midweek or whilst I was on holiday.

Norwich is late but Spurs away is in December

From a quick scan of that list I think the only home game I'm missing (so far) is the Liverpool one

Looks good when listed with those dates, I just hope we can have the majority of those remaining as Saturday 3pm kick offs.

Possibly the most neutral set of fixtures we've had at this level. No real clumps of games against the top or bottom teams, but also a few decent runs of consecutive games against teams from the middle or lower end of the league to build to enable us to build some momentum.

With the increase in televised fixtures and the likes of Amazon Prime involved now, Friday night games, Saturday evening and no doubt the first 4 o clock in the morning game for Chinese audiences not far round the corner I imagine there will be less 3pm Saturday games than ever this season.
Which is a big shame.

Have to be. We're in the Premier League. Again !

Really good time to play Wolves away. Right in the middle of their Europa League qualifying campaign. Hopefully they will be just returned from a trip to Kazakhstan or something.

When I got them last year, I shuddered at the last four. This time we've only got Liverpool from the top six in the last seven fixtures.

That's a positive change - rest of August and September games by 2nd July

I like to check the opposition following European games.
No benefit this season.
Wolves A could see them play on the Thursday and move our match. I’m hoping they find themselves with the early season conundrum we did.
After that there are only Chelsea H and Man City A, if City aren't booted out.

We've not played them on a Saturday, home or away, since 1983.

Brighton away on my birthday.
Man Utd away on a Tuesday night.
Miss Man City home game due to midweek.

Disappointed a little at the moment.

My concern is , with the exception of Norwich, we play all those that are perceived to be sh!te away 1st

It’s very easy to overthink the fixture schedule - newly promoted teams, Europe, end of season on the beach etc etc.
Upshot is we still play everyone twice and need to get about 40 points.

I’m just pleased that Spurs and Newcastle away should be on a Saturday or Sunday....though knowing our record with Newcastle games (great stat CT btw !) it will he moved to MNF !

If the Newcastle game does remain on the scheduled date I reckon that might be the first time we have ever played them on the 29th Feb...might be wrong though !

Last match....Champions League v Relegation & Hove Albion.

I'm happy that the London Games aren't all lumped together makes it easier financially for fans who make a weekend in the capital....

Ridiculous last season when four out of five away games were in London with three on the bounce in December

It’s like the footy season never ended !
I’m looking forward to some new sayings / catchphrases next season as a result of the new rules. Eg :
“its a game of 142 minutes”
“It only takes 8 minutes to score a goal, get it reviewed, overturned and then overturned again”
“If you have hands on the end of your arms you do run the risk of giving away a penalty”

I accept that they are not quite that catchy yet and may need some further work

To be fair, we have only played them 6 times since then. They unconveniently got themselves relegated on our first return to the top flight! Looking forward to a night on The Toon!

Not an easy start at all. If we don't win the first match, we could well have three points from the first four matches.

Thats what I thought too, intitially.
But without the distractions of the Europa cup can see a much improved start to season
On the whole liking the look of those fixtures. Wanted a "winnable" home game, if there is such a thing, to start off with. Same applies to the end of season run in.
Some big games over Christmas/NY

Looks like Man city home & Everton away on Amazon prime.
