The Belgian journo who’s been up to speed on the reporting of this deal throughout said €2.5m upfront and €1m in bonus.

Antwerp were in a position where they needed to sell a few due to league regulations.

About £2m + £0.8m in add-ons according to this dude. Looks lower than was being rumoured.

Speaks good English which will hopefully help him settle quickly. Noticed Vintinho’s English was decent last week too.

Maybe just a coincidence, but did wonder if this is one of the recruitment criteria. With such a high staff turnover, it’s got to help.

Bastien did his initial interview in French but all the others have spoken excellent English.

Can you remember all those threads last year, when we all knew we were due a major rebuild this year?

I think the general setiment was if we can only sign the likes of Dale Stephens in a window, we had not chance in signing players.

Clearly VK is a massive draw for the club. Just hope we can hold onto him for the first full year at least. He is going to be a big draw for top clubs if they sack their managers and he's likely to want bring some of those players with him.

Aye, we’ll see how much he’s bought in to a long term project pretty damn quickly, if he does well. Suppose we have to view it as we would with signing a good up and coming player - if others are chasing them, they’ve done what we brought them in for.

Saw one YouTube clips video and he reminded me of that Adama Traore lad. Loads of pace, beats people for fun.. no end product. But just the pace and beating full backs bit will be exciting enough for now.
