I am convinced we are going down this season, but I am happy with the effort he seems to be putting in. Players like Origi and Ramsey are players that would NEVER have been linked with us previously. Too many things come into play these days, WAGs, threat of relegation, location, pay, bonuses and (perceived) career progression can all scupper a deal. Also, we are not a big club so it's even harder to get people through the door. I have faith that Mr Pace will do what's best for us, even if we go down, so cut him some slack. He is trying to catch up on the years of underinvestment and, IMO, he's doing a good job.

I don’t think anyone would disagree that not bringing anyone in is a failure, of course it is. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s anybody’s fault or through lack of trying though does it

Is it lack of investment? Deal was done with the club a player but before the medical could happen to sign on the dotted line he decided not to. Pace travelled out to try and convince him. I'm nit sure what more we can do. As fir attracting players, we are in let's say a precarious position to do that, hence not a queue of agents trying offload players on to us. Im sure the club are indeed doing all they can but if the window closes with only the one signing they will have failed and im afraid whist everyone try's there best as owner, chairman, recruitment team or whoever has played a role then there needs to be accountability.

Im sure Benitez or Farke tried their best at Everton and Norwich but that does not mean they did not fail and shouldn't be accountable for blame of their situation.

An awful lot can happen in the last 24 hours of a transfer window so hopefully we can pull off one or even two more signings that can go straight into the first 11 but if it ends up just Weghorst then Mr Pace and his team have failed to deliver what was required in the fight to stay up
