I appreciate its a public forum but does your gang have to keep repeating the same rubbish over and over and over again.colne-claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:36 pmIts a public forum. I'll 'cry' all I want. All I want us to see us improve us a club. We're making backward steps. Shame you don't want to see us progress further.
This is such a stupid argument. So are you saying that there is nothing else the club could do? Is there no one else they could have brought inevensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:46 pmWell, that's completely untrue, of course, but some of your potential replacements' names and acceptable transfer fees would give your comment a little more context...![]()
Rouwen Hennings scored his goals in Bundesliga B.spt_claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 3:59 pmRouwen Hennings notched 15 in 2020.
That said he was linked with Spurs, Arsenal and West Ham at various times and from what I've seen is a real threat.
From a cursory glance Wout has scored 1 Vs Dortmund, 2 Vs Bayern, a few Vs Leipzig and Leverkusen, and bags Vs Hoffenheim, Bremen, Schalke, Dusseldorf and Union Berlin. But you can only score against what you play against, and Wolfsburg aren't exactly littered with creative and attacking stars, best they have is Camacho and Brekalo, Weghorst was pretty much carrying them for a couple years.
It's only a "stupid" argument because you can't answer it...Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:47 pmThis is such a stupid argument. So are you saying that there is nothing else the club could do? Is there no one else they could have brought in
I have highlighted numerous over this window. With the latest Undav going to Brighton for 6m.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:52 pmNo, I'm simply asking Milltown or you, if you fancy it, to offer a few replacements' names and acceptable transfer fees.
We've had targets and these, for various reasons, haven't materialised and you've not once offered any appreciation of what's been attempted.
Fair enough but your comments seem to suggest you have some better ideas of your own, it would be helpful to know if this is true.
Think he left before but could also be wrong.
6 million. His wages ?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:53 pmI have highlighted numerous over this window. With the latest Undav going to Brighton for 6m.
Do your research before making statements.
Tony Bloom owns both the clubs involved in that transfer.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:53 pmI have highlighted numerous over this window. With the latest Undav going to Brighton for 6m.

Yes does that mean we couldn’t sign the player?agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:56 pmTony Bloom owns both the clubs involved in that transfer.
“Do you research” he says![]()
Not if they wanted him at Brighton, no.
Brighton want a player from a club also owned by Tony Bloom.
Well, don't join in then!!Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:52 pmWow this threads gotten more embarrassing than our options in midfield and its the whole bloomin lot of you across all sides of the argument. O.k I will take the bait for your fishing trip. I assume your ok that the only thing needed here is to show we would have improved on what we have currently got. So here goes.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:31 pmNeither did I![]()
You've done a lot of criticising but when asked who you might have had in mind or how much you think the club should have spent this window, you've suddenly gone all coy on us.
Knight & Lawrence at Derby should be within our range in terms of fees and wages, and Jed Wallace at Millwall is another we could have snapped up relatively cheaply, now the question remains could they adapt to the PL, but if we can't shop at the top table, and I completely understand why that's the case. then we should be looking at those types of players who we are more likely to obtain.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:56 pm6 million. So that's one. Next ?
Just for research purposes, you understand...![]()
How do you know nothing is happening right now?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:07 pmThere is still a chance but it doesn't appear anything is happening right now.
Sign Wallace for the Championship, we already know he's good at that leveltiger76 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 8:09 pmKnight & Lawrence at Derby should be within our range in terms of fees and wages, and Jed Wallace at Millwall is another we could have snapped up relatively cheaply, now the question remains could they adapt to the PL, but if we can't shop at the top table, and I completely understand why that's the case. then we should be looking at those types of players who we are more likely to obtain.
Again just go back over my numerous posts over the year. Like saying Brennan Johnson when he was at Lincoln etc… simile posters to you mocked that choice then as well.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 8:08 pmNow that's more like it, LLC ....someone with the nads to do something other than snipe.
I agree with the Derby lads choice with Sibley as one for the future, possibly. £17/18 mill for the three.
Over to you, Milltown....
Newcastle, you still there ?![]()

What do you honestly think sways a football player, most of whom scrape through school and either dont care about politics, dont understand politics, or see politics as just something to sell their rights for? These are multi millionaires they are hardly ambassadors to the downtrodden no matter how hard their PR teams try.Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:27 pmIf only it was just metropolitan lubbers who sneered at the white racist scumbags who pollute our town. This is such an insipid argument as it asks fans to do better than full time professionals with access to endless databases and a team on hand to mobilise resources for them, which would be pretty illustrative of the problem if amateurs surpass pros, but for argument's sake:evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:31 pmNeither did I![]()

If people can't see why fans of a team bottom of the league aren't happy at the lack of improvement in the squad, quite frankly that is their issue.
It's the same posters over and over and over again, they will argue black is white just to argue, they have nothing else better to do.
At least he'd offer something different to JBG.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 8:13 pmSign Wallace for the Championship, we already know he's good at that level
Boden and Alex James think it's a disappointing window too, go cry at them.
I think orsic and weghorst were our try and stay up signings . Simply as that. One came off. Probably won't be enough unfortunately.tiger76 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 8:23 pmAt least he'd offer something different to JBG.
And I'm genuinely confused what our transfer strategy is, I thought with the summer captures of Collins, Cornet & Roberts we were aiming for a more youthful approach, and also looking to develop players who in a year or two we might be able to make a profit on, and then reinvest that profit back into the squad.
But in this window we've seemingly put all our eggs in the Orsic and Weghorst baskets, one didn't come off, and one did, but both are nearing 30, and are unlikely to have much if any sell-on value.
So in the event of relegation we'll be left with an almighty rebuild, and the dire prospect of dealing with a large drop in income, plus servicing our debt.
