I actually thought Ole did a good job at United in steadying the ship and building a decent youthful side ready for someone else to take it over. Not sure how that would translate here though....
I think the two words, youthful side, put an end to that one.

Mentioned it before but suggestions Dyche lost the dressing room in particular senior and key players. One player who you might be surprised with.
There are no such suggestions coming from anywhere or anyone but you. You never suggested it all week while shouting your head off that Dyche should be sacked. All you focused on was your unproven hypothetical "What if we find someone better?". You have never been able to utter a word of criticism about Pace and ALK- back in January you were gushing about the transfer window at a point where we'd only lost Wood. You make excuses for them putting us into debt. You insist they're good owners because of their finance CVs- then when people point to the lack of information beyond their titles, or how the organisations they worked for had all sorts of problems especially Lehman Brothers- that suddenly doesn't count. But their impressive sounding titles still do.
All you ever do is back ALK and you are now inventing rumours with nothing to back them up. If you have any proof, put up or shut up.

Why do you and others think that people on here are privy to the club's business plan?
Also, why do you think there isn't one just because people on here don't have it to hand?
Because they said there was a plan. That to me infers they know what the plan is.

Obviously there is a business plan, but do they have a footballing plan?

Ben Mee!............Just to add, i'm still in shock.

If, as you’ve suggested, it’s player power that has done for Dyche, they can **** off. He’s made the majority of them the players that they are today.

If it is a case of the players not playing for Dyche, they’ve put our club in a perilous position.
I don’t believe it. I doubt they are 100% happy with how we’ve performed this season and nor should they be.

It’s also completely at odds with Pope’s “we’re not ******* dead yet!” remark at the end of the Everton game.

I can’t help but feel that they’ve got someone lined up for the job, ready to announce after the weekend and just possibly the new man has said he wants either a clean slate, or maybe he has said I’ll bring in my own backroom staff.

I could certainly see why a new manager would want a clean slate staff wise after all SD has been here just short of 10yrs and you want to get a new style of football with new ideas.

All conjecture of course. Time will tell
If so, makes sense getting rid of the staff. As you say, time will tell, normally the betting markets are quite an indicator but sometimes they're slow to react. I remember Dyche was in the crowd away at Cardiff, odds were still pretty decent on him being appointed if I remember correctly.

So they've got a plan, doesn't mean you and others outside of a certain group are entitled to see it.
No one ever asked to see Garlicks plan when he took over.

Maybe stop asking to see things that have nothing to do with you

I had £10 on Dyche at 66/1! Great earner.

We’ve been poor for 18 months.

The timing isn’t right, and we’ve just had an international break, which would suggest this parting of ways wasn’t in the pipeline at all.

It’s obvious there has been some sort of falling out, between Dyche and Pace/players.

I’m gutted in many ways. Ive thought for most of the season we would go down, and Dyche was the best person to get us back up.

However, no-one is bigger than the club, and we need to get behind the lads until the end of the season. None of this boycott nonsense I’ve seen thrown around.

UTC.

There’s a big rebuild required in the summer and I was hoping it’d be Dyche in charge of it. We’ve been thrown into the darkness now. I desperately hope this board know what they’re doing!

I’ve said enough. Decent source. That’s it. If you look at some of our performances this year, perhaps it explains it (add in the Chris Wood comments etc). Obviously everyone is blaming recruitment and lack of spending, but there has also been a genuine decline in player performance.

So a falling out with the senior players (all of whom are where they are because of SD) is the reason now?

Sounds legit

Thing is, Dyche may have got us promoted again, but if he had it would have been with his type of players, 30+ journeymen with no resale value, and we would have been back in the prem playing the football which has been dire for 2 years.

Yes this is a massive roll of the dice, but would prefer this than performances like those last week

Wout Weghorst joined Burnley to a big fanfare following the departure of Chris Wood but has just 1 PL goal to his name after 12 appearances and seems to spend most of the game trying to hold the ball up. We actually need him in the box getting on the end of crosses and scoring the much needed goals that have been so hard to come by this season.

We. Won't. Get. Anyone. Who. Is. Achieving. Right. Now.

Which makes the timing of this bloody ridiculous. We are run by absolute charlatans and to sack him and the entire team just before the next game is mental.

Mental if it's true that a bunch of players not good enough to play in the Europa League have held a grudge about not getting to for four years.

All I can see is an disagreement over who should get contract renewals, and even that is pushing it because SD knows when players have gone and has rebuilt before

And I'm not even sure about that

Maybe its just time you know?

It reads: "Two legs against Olympiacos turned the people who really matter inside a dressing room away from him. Not completely, but enough to contribute to a slow decline."

And yet, we got into the Europa League qualifiers with 54 points and two years later we had 54 points again.

All I can see is an disagreement over who should get contract renewals, and even that is pushing it because SD knows when players have gone and has rebuilt before

And I'm not even sure about that

Maybe its just time you know?
Absolutely. I've no idea. The Daily Mail (sorry) story is interesting though.

I just don't feel it's something we should automatically dismiss out of hand.

Dyche said in an interview with Jake Humphries last year on YouTube "footballs easy you just boot it forward in a 4-4-2"

Looks like Alan has finally lost patience with that philosophy. He couldnt give his coporate tickets away it seems.
I do wonder if that comment might have brought things to a head, with Pace perhaps asking Dyche why, if football is so f-ing simple, we had only won 4 in 30 and not won against Norwich?

The premise of that Daily Mail article belongs on Fantasy Island.

Not really, it was over three years ago now wasn't it?

Sure it will come out if there is anything in it, but its done now

Hey ho, lets hope they get the successor right

I posted a few weeks back about something i found out from more or less the horses mouth. I also heard that the dressing room wasn't as harmonious as it used to be. The player in question is one of the OOC and it was said he had no intention of re-signing and cited a member of staff for causing disruption (not Dyche) and that many of the players were unhappy with the methods. Now you can draw your own conclusions about it and who that is. It was passed onto me when it probably shouldn't to be fair.
I'm not going to divulge my source or name names..as if i would and I'll wait for the inevitable abuse and discrediting..as i got last time. What would it matter if i did? Doesn't make it any less real what I heard though.

I don’t know why anyone is surprised. Losing 2-0 to bottom of the league in a must win game is asking to get your arse tickled. Dyche zealots need to wake up!

With only Crystal Palace having a squad with more players aged 30+ last season and with Burnley having the oldest squad this season I would suggest that a "rebuild" is long overdue. Given the lack of drive and energy in the team, especially in midfield, probably a few of the players have "gone".

So they've got a plan, doesn't mean you and others outside of a certain group are entitled to see it.
No one ever asked to see Garlicks plan when he took over.

Maybe stop asking to see things that have nothing to do with you
Ok sorry. I’ll consult you next time I want to ask a question.

I'll be interested to hear what the senior players have to say when they're interviewed. It should clear things up either way.

Don't think any of them have put anything on Twitter or anything yet.

I've little confidence in ALK getting the successor right to be honest, but I'm going to try and have an open mind and we'll see what happens.
