Regarding Weghorst I read somewhere very recently that Burnley did still have a recall option on his loan and that Besiktas had not agreed to an obligation to buy and only had a loan deal which did not have any agreed transfer figure as part of any option to buy. This may or may not be correct but I would rather have Weghorst than Obafemi apart from which Weghorst must now be worth way more in value than before due to his World Cup goals.

I think VK seeing Taylor as a CB who also plays LB has hampered his chances of getting on the bench as we don’t need 2 CBs.

It’s a shame for him though, the lad needs games. A loan to the end of the season would suit all parties.
