Rovers @ Deadwood

Post by alancal1973 » Fri Jan 20, 2023 8:27 pm

Any idea when we will find out if the Rovers game @ Deadwood is to be moved to Sunday or Saturday lunch-time kick-off?

That weekend's TV games/kick off changes should be made by 17th February.

Are Rovers still referred to as the stain on the Y fronts of Lancashire?

If either of us progress to round 6 of the FA Cup, it will have to be moved to a midweek won't it?

Yes, and both clubs have avoided Premier League clubs in round four.

I think things will be slightly clearer in a week or so.

No way Sheffield will drop enough for us to win the title there no matter what we do IMO.

I think that's optimistic, but it would be nice and perhaps also lead to an easing of the long standing local tensions when the Rovers fans felt the need to politely applaud our success at the final whistle.

We’d need to be 21 points clear of 3rd after the match to seal promotion, 22 mathematically but our goal difference is far superior.

No ....

They are the skidmark in the inside of the Y-fronts of Lancashire 😉

Gap needs to be 25 points or more, the gap at 19 atm. I very much doubt we wont equal or better that.
