Wish we'd take more of our chances.
Good start though!

Another defensive mistake from Newcastle and we don't make it count. Started so well so it's frustrating we're not more composed and clinical.

Every goal against us is so easy

Usually comes after us looking "good" and giving the ball away too easily, followed by a shot that the goalie won't save

Same old.

Better team by far, don’t take chances, make an error. Bang.

BBC Sport: Goal! Newcastle United 1, Burnley 0. Miguel Almirón (Newcastle United) left footed shot from outside the box to the top left corner. Assisted by Kieran Trippier.

It was a great finish but Ramsey has had an absolute stinker there. Criminal at this level to give it away so easily in that position.

Really frustrating and to be honest, it's pretty poor. Yes a fantastic finish but so easy from their point of view. Ramsey dilly-dallying, no pressure on Almirón.

And talk about not taking our chances.

Absolutely classic Premier League punishment.

Steep learning curve. Young players who have to learn quickly.

Everything about our defensive play screams naivety — we are sorely lacking premier league experience in that area and it is costing us dearly at the moment :(

This team would be so comfortable at this level if you just dropped Tarkowski and a 28/29 year old Cork into it.

It’s the closing down for me, we miss a Tarks/Mee that when someone is running at us, they will do everything they can to get in the way of the ball. Throwing bodies to block attempts at goal, too many times this season dangerous players have picked the ball up, picked the spot and found it.

Don't disagree but they wouldn't help us to be more clinical, and we really need to be more clinical.

We’ve given it away cheaply too many times. Taylor, Roberts and now Ramsey.

It’s difficult enough without gifting them the ball and inviting unnecessary pressure.

All that said, there are still some really promising signs.

Just too much time on the ball in dangerous areas.

Yes. The chances we’re missing are killing us. Amdouni isn’t a striker. Lovely player to watch and supremely talented but I’m not convinced he makes our best eleven once Foster is fit.

Yep. We've missed way too many chances. And with the defence we have we have to take them. That Amdouni one was about as easy as it gets at this level. You just knew it'd come back to bite us. And I agree, he's lovely to watch but not sure where he fits.

Thought the same, it was just behind him. Did well to get to it with the man on his back, was a great chance though.
