Tresor is awful , he's contributing nothing upfront and not assisting Taylor in defence . Foster doesn't look match fit and Amdouni has great skill but has no end product . Brownhill and Berge are being overrun and need help .

I know the bar is quite low after that first 45 minutes but I thought he was one of the better performers.

I agree but Tresor allegedly had a turn of pace according to some on here. Not seen it today. Move Odobert left, Gudmundsson or Redmond right for me.
Maybe Larsen as he likes to try get in behind but God I'd be scared at how exposed we'd be on the side based on his last few games.

Foster doesn't look right yet, and Berge has been powder puff.

Not quite over yet, but a second goal will end it as any kind of contest.

I am not surprised. I said at the start of this thread before kick off how disastrous that can be against Liverpool. Very naïve of Kompany not to alter tactics to nullify the opposition strengths.

To all the comments about Berge not playing well, the soft yellow card he got early in the first half will have affected that.

Luckily we are somehow still in this game - hopefully we show more in the second half.

Trouble is I don't know where that player fits in with us. The central attacking mid, or offset/second striker, is too central and narrow and isn't built around being that sort of producer in our system, at leat not now- Brownhill did it at times last year but we don't have a player who can play false nine like Barnes or Tella-style wide forward now (or if we do aren't using them as such). Further back is too deep, we don't play 433 where you could have a slightly more advanced midfield playmaker, we certainly can't play the 4141 City sometimes play where they have a bank of 4 attacking midfielders.

He's just not what we need and I'm baffled why we spent all that money on him rather than either Tella, or a Tella replacement when he was so vital to our style and is such a different player to Tresor or really any of our wingers except maaaaybe Odobert or Larsen at brief times.

I'm still not sure- maybe if we'd stuck to last year's system and he was in the Brownhill role but I'm not sure he's got the physicality to do it. Amdouni doesn't seem to either, but I'm not convinced he would either..

I'd hook Tresor for Gudmundsson at half time- Odobert has the X Factor of a goal in him, Gudmundsson might shore us up defensively and is our statistically most productive creator this season. I hate him out wide due to his lack of pace and dynamism but I don't think Larsen's the answer here.
